Yesterday while sitting on the bus at school waiting on the kids to come out...the asst. princ. said 'Bus drivers, don't forget we have a half day on Wed. and Thurs. and no school on Friday". Well, ya know...I totally forgot all about fall break, so this is great news. Today and tomorrow half days (parent/teacher conferences) and then Friday totally off...whatever will I do with myself.....LOL I'll tell you one thing, I'm not cleaning the house!!! Okay wait a minute..I may pick up and normal everyday stuff, but I'm not going to deep clean. I may even take off and go shopping somewhere.......there are just so many choices. I do have my Christmas money so I could start early....

Fall break!! Cool! We don't have one here but the kids have had 3 three day weekends this month. Of course, we're so busy we never take advantage of them. Wish that I lived close enough I go shopping with you on Friday! I bet that we'd have a lot of fun together!!
That was a nice surprise! I'd do the shopping, or maybe nothing at all!
Janet, hurray for you!
I hope you just take the day off and go do something you enjoy. We all need a break occassionally, and what better time to get one than on a day you didn't know you'd have free?
Good for you!

How totally cool!!!! Nothing better than found money or an unexpected day off!!!! Enjoy!!!
Yesterday, I learned that I have one vacation day left and a personal day to take off this year. I'm planning on coraling Melissa and getting some wedding planning done!!!!
Let us know what you decide to do with your day. ;)

I'm still totally undecided. I may just lay in bed and watch TV ...LOL.
I did get another surprise this morning...I got picked for a drug test at school so I had to go to the bus garage and pee in a cup....so much fun. They run drug tests for the drivers 2 or 3 times a year. I didn't get picked last year at all, but they didn't miss me this year.
LOL Janet, at least you're not one who has to worry!
My hubbies employer has to do random drug tests on the drivers frequently. They have a computer program that just spins and picks names like a lottery. He had to go in 3 months in a row. with over 300 drivers they do quite a few each time to make sure everyone eventually gets tested.

That's awesome! Enjoy your time off and make sure to relax a bit! You deserve it! Hmm...have you ever gotten to have that spa day you've always wanted? Maybe now would be a good time!

No, I haven't been to the spa yet...I'm a little (okay alot) embarassed by my weight, but I'm wanting it so bad I may just throw my feelings to the wind and go anyway....soon. I think about it all the time...so I must really need it.
I think today I am going to drive into town and have my Dr. draw some blood to check my thyroid and cholestral levels and whatever else might need checked. While I'm there, make an appointment to see him...then come back and give the babies their bath and grooming. That will knock off about 4.5 hours. Tomorrow (Sat.) there is an auction I would like to attend and see if there is anything I might be interested in. I love auctions, beside looking through someone else's treasures, I get to see people I haven't seen for a while.:)

Oh, I hope you have fun at the auction! I've never been but I've always wanted to. Hopefully you'll have time to make it to the spa during your time off. They don't care if you have a few extra pounds or not, they're there to cater to you, remember? ;) Go, relax, have fun, and just enjoy yourself! :)

I did go to the Dr. this morning and the nurse took 3 vials of blood. Results should be back by Monday. While I was there, I made an appointment (Friday) to see the Dr. and to have him explain all the results to me. So there is one thing I can mark off my list.
I then went to Wal Mart, picked up a few things and then came home. Instead of bathing and grooming the doggies I groomed my son...lol He was in need of a haircut so bad. Now he's back to look'n spiffy again. How's that for a visual??
It's been raining here all afternoon, suppose to tonight and tomorrow, so going to an auction definitely sounds like something to do out of the rain. I'll let ya all know if I find any good deals.
Janet,
It sounds like you're just having a nice, low-key few days off.
Good for you!
