:) :) Okay everyone..I think I CAN do it!!!! I don't think I would like the Core System, but the Points look I can handle. I'm going to try to go get some groceries tonight. I wanted to wait until the books came...so tomorrow I start!!! I'm sure I'll be using the books alot at first, but it don't look like I'll starve any.
I will weigh myself tomorrow morning and let you all know from what weight I will be starting and I'm going to have my son or hubby take my picture tonight. Also, I will use the website and access the free areas for some extra help. I'm just so excited I could spit!!!!

YAY, Janet!!!!!!!!!!!! I did the Points System, too. Go through the "Complete Food Guide" and see which foods have 0 points that you like. Buys lots of those things because when you get hungry and you don't have any points left for the day, you can eat those foods. Off hand, I know that green beans, broccoli, and fat free Italian dressing are 0 points. I liked to make Green Beans (the ones that come in a can) by putting them in a pot on the stove and adding some Dale's marinade, garlic powder, and Lawry's seasoning salt. YUM YUM YUM! And it's ZERO points! Also Broccoli and fat free Italian. YUM YUM YUM! I very picky, but you said you weren't that picky of an eater, so you won't have a problem finding things you like that are zero points.
GOOD LUCK and remember....we are ALL here for yoU!

The two books are "Dining Out Companion" and "Complete Food Companion" if anyone is interest in trying them. Rebecca helped me get them off ebay and they were a total cost of $39.90,

Janet- could you list the foods that have 0 points. I'm sure there are quite a few of us that wouldn't mind losing a couple of pounds & these 0 point foods may give us healthier snacking foods.

Great idea. It's always nice to know the healthier choices when it comes to food/snacks.
I just got done eating bell pepper which is good I think...BUT then i dipped each pepper into ranch dip, ugh!! I just don't care for all those yummy fresh vegies much if i don't have the dip to go along with it. :(

I know you can do it. If I were down there I'd be right there by your side if I could help do anything. Dang I wish I were. I've been thinking about exercising but don't because I'm just to lazy. I may not be a big person but I do have some
extra pound around the middle if only they would move to the places that I really need them to go. But that will never happen. I need a personal trainer like Oprah. ha ha. If you can do it I can do the exercise thingy. You go girlfriend.

That list was just the foods by alphabetical order. It also has a list of brand name foods, but if I list that one I'll be on here all night. So I will try a little at a time. I haven't even been able to get my grocery list done yet, because we've had a bit of a family emergency. So please be patient. What cha think of the list so far?
Also, when it says like 1 cup of something is 0 points, why do they tell you in a measurement? In math class 0+0 = 0

Yippe cauliflower is on there. I had like half a head of cauliflower last night...0 points. However, I'm pretty sure the cheese sauce I made & dumped all over has some points.
