How many of you are heading out into Black Friday and shopping?
I have never done that nor do I have any desire to ever do so.
Watching people fight over wool socks that are 75% off is just insane to me.
And...I guess tomorrow is a day many folks begin putting up Christmas decorations. Is this one of your traditions? Hmmmm, I don't do that either.
Pretty much going to be yet another very lazy non-eventful day tomorrow for me.
I don't get up early to go shopping on Black Friday unless I was buying a big ticketed item, and then I still may not..
I will do some Christmas shopping but at a normal time..lol I am working in the afternoon so that will take care of that.
As far as putting up the tree I don't until the second week in Dec. I keep it up till the 6th of January.

No, I won't be going. I went once with my daughters and daughter-in-law and that was enough for me. I think that I'm just going to stay home and enjoy it being so clean!!!! Maybe have a scrapbooking day!!!

I have been, when our son was little and hurting and the toy he wanted for months that was very expensive and hard to find was at the toy store in limited quantities that morning... I had fun and kept it limited. It felt so good to get something that he dreamed of for him!

I've looked through all the ads from this mornings paper, but still haven't decided if I want to go shopping tomorrow. I got up really early due to hubby snoring and I'm so tired right now. I'm hoping to sleep a little later tomorrow. I told him if he woke me up snoring, I was going to smack him with the lamp!

Ok, I was wrong! No scrapbooking day tomorrow! The grandkids have tricked us into a slumber party tonight........so much for a clean house tomorrow. I've got quite a story to tell on this one. Be prepared to do a LOT of laughing!!!!

Oh Diana, I'm going to have a hard time not checking in here every 30 minutes or less to find out the story.

Diana, the slumber party story was awesome!!! :)
I was silly enough to go out shopping today, but we went at about 9 instead of 4am like most people. I thought all the good stuff would be gone, but I was wrong! I got a new computer for $500. Slimline, 2 gigs of ram, 400 gig hard-drive, very fast dual core processor. Can't beat that! :)

Wow, Angie, that would have been hard to pass up. That's what I've asked to receive for Christmas.....a computer.

I did end up going to a nearby city with LynneB. I bought two bluetooth headsets..one for me and one for my son for his birthday. It's always nice to go shopping with Lynne, but we didn't go until around 2:00 PM I think.

WOW!! Angie, what a great deal! I usually never find really great deals. I did go to Best Buy and was looking at one of the Garmin GPS systems for $169 for my son, but wouldn't ya know...they were all gone. Sold out that morning. That is probably why I'm not thrilled with shopping, I'm always late on the good deals. I may check and see if I can find it on ebay.

Janet, you might check and see if you can order it on-line. Sometimes the stores have free shipping. I got a card in the mail from Kohl's and if I sign up for e-mail sale ads I can have free shipping. That would be a really good deal!

I usually don't find good deals either Janet. I was just lucky with that computer!
I'm glad you're looking eBay. There GPS prices are much lower than what the stores are selling them for as far as I can tell. Good luck!
I would never go shopping on Black Friday in NY! Today is supposedly the biggest day of the year for online shopping. That I like.
I bought something for Mackenzie on Amazon.com last week and signed up for their premium membership for which I got a 2 day free shipping. I was going to cancel the membership - they give you one month free as a trial.
I ordered an audiobook there yesterday, and realized that Amazon.com has great buys, so I may keep that membership. It's $79 for the year, but free 2 day shipping on everything you order. Since I do so much online shopping, it will more than pay for itself. Tons of stores are listed on Amazon. I figure if I find something I want, I can go to Amazon, find the store, order it through them and get free shipping.

That Amazon membership has been worth it for me. I am constantly ordering references for my students to work with or for my book group, and the ability to get their discount added to the free shipping is more than covered. Plus, I use Amazon for vitamins and other health related items as well as for cooking supplies such as pans. The Amazon warehouse must be humongous!

I've been checking some of the GPS on ebay. The sellers really are not the greatest for those items. I'm going to keep checking though.

One of the newscasts mentioned the incrdible prices on GPS's all over during the weekend. I think there will be more sales during this shopping season from the way they were talking.
