My big baby got spayed today, had 2 lumps on her side removed, and her ears cleaned.

She was sheduled to go in to have it done 10 days ago, but the day before, i phoned the vet, with a lame excuse, and told them, she wont be coming because she has the runs, which was totally not true, i was just a nervous wreck, trying to pospone it, which is really stupid, because she needed it done.
So, up till lastnight i was trying to think, and stay "clear headed" when my husband said, hes taking the day off, he knows i'm a total basket case when it comes to my kid, and fur kids, if they need something done, i'm a wreck.
While i was doing my hair this morning, i couldnt get my clip in right, i threw it around the room LOL (my nerves)
At 8 am, we took her in, she just knew something was going to happen, but anyhow, i managed to leave the vet's without freaking out, i mean on our way there, i was in tears LOL
They said they would call between 12 and 1 - well.... they didnt, we stayed around in town, did some shopping, at 1 pm i started chewing my wrists LOL. I felt all blood draw out my face, i must have been white as a sheet ... i really thought something was wrong when they called my husbands cell at 1:45pm to tell she did really well, the lumps were removed, they innocent, her ears were done, and the spaying went well.

After that call, i was a completly different person ... i was smiling, happy jolly LMAO
After we came home, he poored me a drink, and told me to sit down, and RELAX!!!

Mandy, you poor girl!!! I know how it is to worry over these babies. I was in tears most of the time that Joey was away from me getting his teeth cleaned.

Sure glad your hubby was with you.

Thanks girls, she woke up this am, and wanted her breakfast phewwwww she had my nerves stretched to the limit, i swear i have a few more grey hairs!

Lastnight we had friends ove, but she didnt budge, she greeted them when they walked in, but wanted to be left alone.
She's had a busy day today, the whole family was here to come visit her, goodness, they even brought her flowers! How sweet is that.
I do think it was all a bit much for her, because by the time the last ones left, she felt kind of warm, she gets really happy/excited when she sees my parents.
I'll give her the meds. the vet gave her in a few minutes so she can rest.

Chelsey is really good with her, keeps walking up to her, to give her a kiss awwww - Chanel is what we expected, she finds the stitches freaky, and wont sit next to her LOL - she's been quite good, and has not been mean to her (yet)

Ive spent two nights with her, she's been very good, and slept well, so no problem there, tonight we will take her upstairs with us, i'll just have her near me, so that i can hear her when she needs something.

You sound like such loving folks for Dounia - she's lucky to have you - and I am sure it's a two-way street.

Poor little girl! I'm glad it's over and you both did well. Give her kisses from us.

Little Gracie Leigh has to get spayed next week or so, and I'm already freaking out, so I certainly know how you felt!
