So how soon does everyone put up their Trees? I put ours up today.
Its been a tradition for years. But it wasn't much fun this year. I did most of it myself. My youngest daughter whose 16 helped but it wasn't the same without my other 2 kids. They grow up to fast.

I haven't put up a tree since Bren and I have been married. It just feels pointless since it's just the two of us. We do help mom and the kids do theirs though. :)

I will probably get mine up in a week or two. It's a whole week process because I collect Hallmark ornaments and I have a TON of them .........and they ALL have to go on the tree!!!!

I usually do not put one up until the week before Christmas and then take it down Christmas Day evening. This year I'm hoping to have it up within the week. We'll see. I'm thinking if I get it up earlier, I won't stress on when to get it up and then also..maybe it will help me be in the Christmas spirit more.

My feelings might change tomorrow or the next day, but as of right now I don't feel like putting up our tree. Normally I put it up a few weeks before Christmas.

But, I just see it as a chore right now and cluttering up the house. I'm totally missing that falla la laa la falla feeling...Nobody is going to be here for Christmas I found out so it's like "whatever"...

I wish I could hire somebody to put it up for me and then take it down. What a very sad attitude I have, LOL...:D

I belong to a local group that came out of freecycle.org. We swap services. I know if I wanted a tree up and down, one of the other members would have come to do it for me. Do you have any groups like that where you live?

We have always put ours up the day after Thanksgiving, so I just continue the the tradition. Watching it sparkle now :D

I know how you feel Sheryl, if it wasn't for my son, I'd probably just get a 3 foot table top tree. He likes the bigger ones of course and he does help putting it up. I've been thinking of buying one just a bit smaller than what we have and one with the lights already on it. I hate stringing lights.

Not unless I can find a drunken redneck on our dirt road and offer him a six pack of beer to do it for me. :D

I just finished putting one up at my parents' house :) I'm still sitting here and it's all lit up beside me and it looks so pretty! Next weekend, my roommate and I are putting a little one up in our house

My son and I brought down all the Christmas decorations from the attic. I do want to check and see about another tree though, so throughout the week I will be setting out some of the decorations. Maybe by next weekend I'll have another tree. I'm wanting one that is prelit and not so big around at the bottom. I'm kind of liking the tall skinny trees...they look so rustic, antique or something...I just like them.

I think I like those too Janet, especially since we don't have a lot of extra space for a tree in our living room. I'm debating whether or not to get one this year. It just feels pointless without children, but at the same time, I bet it would really put me in the holiday spirit...

I usually put my tree up the first or second week of Dec. As most of you its becoming a chore. I do love Christmas, my husband does help put it up, he puts the lights on also and I decorate it. My tree is 7 1/2 ft. I do the decorations throughout the house. This year I am comtemplating on whether I should put up my village scene. It is beautiful I also have Elvis Presley's graceland, I guess I am getting old. lol My kids do not help me. Once I get started I get into the mood.

Sheryl when you find a redneck send him down to the east coast, heck I will give him two six packs lol .:yelrotflmao:

I have to take mine down. I wrote about it on another thread. It's a tacky little fiber optic tree. All I have to do is plug it in and find the 2 angels that also have fiber optics.

I feel like it's a little too early for Christmas for me.

I'm thinking a pre-lit one would be a good idea too. I almost always end up doing the tree all by myself and stringing lights on a big tree is a PITA.
I might even be able to talk myself into an artificial tree this year just for that point alone.

We usually have a real tree... big and bothersome as they are. Right now I'm in no mood to work that hard on one.
