Today, was some day.. Let me explain if you recall Gucci had an on going ear infection and then she was constanly eating, urinating lots and having some accidents which she never does.. So last week I took her in to test her sugar it was normal thank God.

The vet. calls me this morning and says that she does not have an URI but she sees crystals in her urine and just to be on the safe side to bring her in an do an exray to make sure that there are not stones.. So my daughter and I take her in and they do an exray. The vet comes out and tells us to come into room she wants to show us the exrays. She is baffled, there are no stones but this object , and she is asking us did Gucci shallow something metal? My daughter is crying and I am telling the vet how I am always making sure nothing falls on the floor I am forever vacuuming. To make a long story short she tells me to keep an eye on her and she gave me a lubricant to give her orally and hoping this object will slide through her intestines and out. Well low and behold as we were driving home my daughter says wait a minute.. That she didn't swallow anything that is her ameroid constrictor from the liver shunt surgery. We go home and she looks up the ameroid constrictor and yes its metal and looks like a ring. DUH!

I called the vet back and she said OMG yes, your daughter is right.. Thank God! Can you imagine I was so worried that she would have to operate to get this out and for nothing.. Never a dull moment..Talk about misdiagnosis . I am so relieved I was so nervous today.

Big sigh of relief!!!! I'm glad that your daughter thought of the liver shunt thingy!!! I hope that Gucchi gets to feeling better. I've just been through a few days with Reuger being sick and I can't imagine going through weeks and months of it. They are so fragile.
