My Turn

Ok it's my turn....I feel like crud. Major sinus pain, typical cold, and just hurt all over. I could feel it coming on yesterday morning and by noon I was in bed.

I always feel so selfish when I'm ill. Because it's like you can't think of anything else but how awful ya feel. Constantly my thoughts keep saying "I feel awful. I wanna die. I wanna go to bed. I want someone to take care of me. I, I, I". LOL!!! It's just pathetic. :o

I've got my travel work this morning - then off to the grocery store. But after that my direction is my couch/pillow/fur kids to snuggle/fire in the fireplace/and something incredible to make a hot toddy.

Well...I just had to whine to you ladies. :rolleyes: Thanks for listening, LOL.

Sheryl, I feel so bad for you...I hate being sick. Call and see if your Dr. will prescribe a Z-pak antibiotic. They work really great for me. You sure as heck don't need to be out going to a grocery store...stay home, dry, warm and comfy. Hope you feel better soon.

I'm sorry that you're not feeling well, Sheryl. You definitely need to be in front of the fire, wrapped in a blanket, with a hot drink, being pampered by your family!! We ARE allowed days off for being sick. Just like everyone else!!!

It sure seems to be going around like crazy up here. My daughter, Dae Lynn, hasn't felt well the last couple of days. I was worried about pneumonia but she called the doctor's office and they said that's just one of the symptoms of what's going around. I hope that it's over it by Christmas so everyone can be here and have a good time.

Oh Oh.... i'm sorry your not feeling well, it's nasty huh. Take that hot toddy, and a nap with the kids, your hubby will take good care of you. Now is the time to try the Vicks Vapo Rub :D Not cinnamon ok? ;)

Oh my gosh, I totally forgot all about that Vicks Vapo-Rub for my feet. Well...since this crud has worked it's way into my chest and I'm coughing I will try it and let you know.

I feel just like one huge germ right now. It grosses me out. It's such a nasty feeling.

Whenever I get sick, it ALWAYS goes to my chest and I cough so bad. I've coughed so bad and hard that I had fractured a rib once. Just a hairline fracture, but it still hurt like the dickens. THEN, once I get the cough, I might as well by stock in Poise, because I'll pee everytime I cough. I know, too much information...lol

Oh Sheryl, life can be so tough for us ladies!!! I think I would rather cough and fart though, I can always blame the fart on someone else (hubby blames his on the dogs..lol), But who else can I blame when I pee my pants?

Sherly, I hope that you are feeling better. I take the z pack and Janet is right they help a lot. I also find that mucinex >cant spell > lol is pretty good for congestion and muscus. Ahhhhhhhhh Girl go get some rest, and feel better. Like you mentioned have a hot toddy.

As for the coughing and wetting yourselves... I have a dear friend who recently had surgery for that little problem. They actually gave her bladder more support with an internal sling and she says it's the best thing she's done for herself in FAR too long! She's now rid of that problem completely and it wasn't a major ordeal for her.

Now the farting I don't have a "fix" for. LOL

The doctor wants to put me on something for the bladder spasms - But I haven't decided yet if that's what I wanna do yet. :confused:

Also. The Vicks Vapo-Rub did work for the coughing - LOL. I've used it nightly. Just don't get up shortly after applying it or you will mess your floors up.

I still feel like crap. I was doing pretty good yesterday morning but then it just went down hill again from there. Never did have it in me to do the 4-wheeler ride.

Im so tired of feeling so bad and can't wait till this is all over with. Ugh. :(

LOL - but I can't sleep w/ socks on. :p I actually used it as a great excuse too. "Honey, but I can't get outta bed cuz I've got Vicks on my feet!". It worked like a charm!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

Thank you for the well wishes Tink. I put make up on so we can head out for a bit. Not even worth it as my eyes keep watering and my make up is all messed up. Geez, the things us ladies go through huh? Crazy!! But I CANNOT go out in public w/out make-up. :eek:

Sorry to tell ya' but I don't drink anything alcholic so I don't know what my excuse is. I like to laugh and can be a real cut-up sometimes. And I have an ornery streak a mile wide!!!!

Last night at our church Christmas party we sang the 12 Days of Christmas. The way we sang it was that you had to sing the part that corresponded with the month of the year. (If your birthday was in January you sang "Partridge in a pear tree", February sang "2 Turtle doves", etc. Everyone sang the other parts.) Wouldn't you know that my birthday is in January and I had to sing on every one so I really hammed it up and had everyone laughing before we were done. I so enjoy being a clown!!! I really try to be good but sometimes I just can't resist!!! The time that we teased "Someone" about her potty I had sooooo many things that I wanted to type, but I was a good girl!!!
