I am such an organize freak that it's driving me crazy!!! My 2007 calendars are really worn and used and I am just looking soooo forward to putting up my nice new calendars....LOL :) Nuts huh? :thumbdwn:
I have a really pretty Yorkie calendar to hang on the wall by my computer :computer: and then I have a big desk calendar that I hang on the refridgerator with magnets (yeah, I know, nice decorating tip...LOLOL). And ya know what else????? My husband writes so horribly :tongue012: that I hate it when he writes on the calendar pages.
So do ya think I need to seek help for this problem? :lol2: ..LOLOL

I completely understand Janet!! My calendar is color coded and I use sparkly gel pens so that it looks pretty. It has to be perfect or it drives me nuts. And on top of that, I just COULD NOT function without it. lol! Every little thing--meeting, assignment, to do lists--EVERYTHING gets written down in my calendar. If you need help, then so do I! :p

Oh, I forgot to mention that I asked for a 2008 calendar and new gel pens for Christmas. It's just driving me crazy to not be able to write down stuff past Dec. 31!

Recently I found a site on the internet where you can print off calendars so I printed off a years worth and I keep a few pages on the refrigerator and a pencil nearby. It's really helped me become more organized and remember the dates that I'm to do something. My memory is getting so bad that I forget a lot of stuff.
Here's the site for the printable calendar. You can even put in your own pictures.

That's awesome Diana! I always used Outlook to print blank calendars when I didn't have a fancy calendar, but it doesn't let you add your own picture. I'm having Bren resize a picture for me so that I can try out that site! :)

Thats not nuts!! You girls are focussed, and i'm jealous! I buy calendars, and diaries with the best intentions, come home to stick them in a drawer, and forget about them. I write notes before i go to town, with a list of "to do" things, and leave that on the table DUHHHHH

That is great Diana!! Just what I needed...something else to do...LOL Now I'll never get away from this computer. I played around with it a bit so now I'll have to find some pictures of my own to use.

Y'all aren't nuts at all, just organized. I have 4 calendars in my office at work and two in our office at home. At work I have one big laminated poster calendar that I use color coded dry erase markers to keep track of things. Right now, I have two up one for 2007 and one for 2008. I wish they had published next year's holiday schedule so I could get them marked off. I too have a Yorkie calendar by my monitor and need a new one for 08.
I keep another calendar/appointment book that is in a portfolio that I carry around. It's color coded, too.
And Angie, I love the sparkle gel pens. They add a little whimsey to life.
Diana, thank you for the link. I use one that I think is freecalendars.com, but will definitly check yours out, especially if you can insert pictures.
Photobucket and Snapfish let you use your own pictures to create a calendar. I want to do that for hubby for Christmas, but have not gotten around to it.

I know I won't get everything, but wishing for things is half the fun...surprises are the other half.

This will be the first year that hubby and I are not shopping for each other. It was my idea so remind me this on Christmas day when I might pout and don't have any gift for hubby to give or open something special myself, LOL.
I guess him and i have come to a place in our lives that we don't have anything to want for right now. (key word "right now". That could change later! :D ) So, we just shopped for the grand baby, a friend of mine, and i made a movie for my kids as a gift. Ummm, that's about it.

Sheryl, you certainly have gotten off light this year! I would certainly get gifts for each other. I always tell my husband that if he can't think of anything to get me, diamonds are ALWAYS a good choice!!!!!
I shopped online for most of my Grandma gifts. I still have to go to the dreaded Toys R Us for a few more, I have to buy my SIL a gift, some little things for their dogs. Mine too. Then I have to put some money in envelopes for certain people, like my hair dresser. The toy shopping was actually fun this time.
I bought Jessie a handmade silver pendant with a lion's head on it. It says on it that it stands for courage, which I think she has really shown getting through her illness to this point. She never even sits down, never complains, and feels really good. She's learned the value of a positive attitude. I hope she likes it. I told her if she didn't, I would exchange it.
If I had a man in my life, I'd definitely want a gift. Maybe next year....
