Do any of you get all excited about the holidays and company and then forget to take any pictures? I hope I don't forget at Christmas.
At Thanksgiving, I had my camera out and ready and then didn't take that first picture. No one else took any either. I think I'm gonna decorate in post-it notes that say "take pictures."
The older I get, the easier I forget.

I do that or I think that someone else will take pictures and I'll get copies. It never works. If I want pictures, I had better take them. At Thanksgiving I laid my camera where I would see it a lot to remind me. Or if you have a small camera, get a case with a long strap and wear it with your head and one shoulder through it. You'll have it with you all day and will be reminded to use it. That's what I did on our 4-wheeling trip and it was very handy to take out and snap a few pictures.

I'm very guilty of forgetting to take pics at special functions, or on special days. A few minutes ago, i reminded my mom to take her camera with her tonight, and take pics of my dad, and the choir.

I forget often too.
Maybe those of you who are having larger groups over for Christmas can set out disposable cameras. This way - everyone can have fun in the "picture taking" and you get more chances to catch those Kodak moments. :)

Sheryl, that is a great idea!!! Even if it isn't a big gathering at least someone will hopefully take a picture. Man I love this site and all the ideas. I have a list of presents I need to buy and some other odds and ends so I just added disposable cameras to the list.
I'm with the rest of you on this one. LOL
I always have great intentions... just don't always follow through!
How annoying!

It sure is annoying, but doesn't Sheryl's idea sound great? I can't wait to see what kind of pictures everyone will take. Knowing my family most of them will be bending over butt pics. Seems like everyone in my family thinks it's so funny to take a picture when someone bends over to pick something up...what a group of characters.

It will be just hubby and I. (Oh and the fur kids) Not much gonna happen here to take pics of. I'll come up with something though. :D

There won't be many of us either, the most at one time will be 12. But I'm sure there will be something to point the camera at.

LOL Janet - I'm sure we can find something to entertain us right?
What is the menu for Christmas meal? You can take a picture of everyone eating and being merry.

Have everyone stand in front of the tree in family groups for a picture. We try to always take pictures like that so you can look back and see how much everyone's changed in the last year. My side of the family always does that. My husband's side hardly takes pictures of anything.
I took my camera to my daughter's and took 4 pictures! I hope I remember on Christmas.
Sheryl - that is a great idea!
