whats wrong with me?

I have cancelled 2 Dr. app. for myself, just my yearly check up wich I haven't done for the past 2 years, mainly because I hate to take the time off work to go. Well Sadie (my yorkie) woke me up last night about 1am shaking her head wich I kinda thought it had been bothering her for a while now but tried to take care of it myself, but last night I noticed some dried blood in her ear so I wiped it out with alcohol on a cotton ball and she went back to sleep. Well first thing this morning I made an app. with her Dr. and I couldn't get out of work quick enough to get her in there. I didnt even blink an eye about leaveing work to take her to the vet.
So she has a yeast infection in her ear, they cleaned it out and gave her med's for it and I didn't even think twice about how much it cost ( she's my baby).
So why is it I am haveing a hard time getting myself to go to the Dr.? I even get paid for going because I have 2 ins. that will cover it. Just call me crazy LOL.

Lynne there is nothing wrong with you. We are there for everyone, our children, husband, fur babies lol , family and friends. I procrastinate all the time with my own appts. You will see as the others answer they will say the same. Very few people put themselves first. But you should go , who is going to take care of everyone if you get sick.. Go get your check up.

Btw I hope that Sadie is feeling better, is she a yorkie? My Gucci had an ear infection for over a month. It seems better now but she could not shake it...She was on every drop and antibodic. Just a tough bacteria to shake...

Lynn, I'm the same way. I hate to go to the doctor but I've had Reuger in to the vet 3 times lately. I agree with Gina that women tend to put others first. Just take a deep breath and make that appointment........And make sure you go!!!

BTW--I hope that Sadie is on the mend!!!

Lynne, you need to quit cancelling the appointments. You are such a good friend and I need you. I don't want anything to happen to you so please stay healthy! Once it's over with you can put it off for another year!!!..LOL

I know I need to and will make another app after the 1st of the year. It dosent bother me to take off to take mom or the kids or the dogs to their app. but I hate takeing off for myself.

And Janet we've had this discussion before you are no better than I am about Dr. app's, I know how you handle your(LOL) you need to take your own advice and take better care of yourself cause I would be lot if anything happened to you.

Well ya gave me he!! didn't ya??? You're right, I need to take my own advice, but hey I have done pretty good here lately. I've gone to the Dr. twice within the last month and have to go again in January. I did to the gyno thing, but that was a few months back so see, now it's your turn.

LOLOL We know too much about each other Lynne...ha ha ha ..Guess we deserve giving each other 'what for"!!!! LOL:D

It's stressful to go to the doctors. I've been putting off the gyno for months. Like you though, the vet has seen me whenever there's anything wrong with my babies!

Sadie is gorgeous. I love her big beautiful eyes.
