Finally I've gotten around to take some pictures of our tree and some of the decorations. I have sooo much more that I just don't have the time or energy to put out. Anyway, here's what we look like so far.
!. Jaci strung popcorn after we already had our tree decorated so we added it to the shelf. The lights are all set on a timer and come on automatically. There's Hallmark Santas all over the shelf.
2. This is our Christmas tree. Remember I collect Hallmark ornaments and most of my collection is on here. Rachel is our tree topping angel.
3. This is my plate holder in the dining room. I had a really long string of pearls left over from decorating the tree so I put them here. I'm still not sure if I like it or not but I'm leaving it up.
4. This last picture is of some shelves in my Kitchen. Again, another Hallmark collection that I add to every year. This is the first time that I've put them here and I think that I'll do it again.

It's all so beautiful Diana!! I like the pearls strung down like that off the plate shelf. It's very soft and graceful looking. It reminds me of a white Victorian Christmas - Gorgeous.
Your collection of Hallmark is wonderful on your shelves and tree. You have such a way to make everything look so warm and inviting. Such a nice way you add that special touch to your decorating!! :p
It's all beautiful!!!!!

Diana, I love all of your decorations...but I must say that tree!! It is soooo perfect. I honestly don't believe I've ever seen a prettier tree. So beautiful.

Thanks for your compliments!!! My tree stand will turn the tree around when you turn it on but I have sooo many ornaments that it's too heavy to turn!!! When we first got it it did turn better than it does now and the kids would play a search and find game with the ornaments while it turned.
The Christmas tree skirt is something that I made too. I could never find a skirt that I was happy with so I made my own. It's one of the few things I've pieced and quilted. Quilting is just not my thing!!!

Are you telling us that beautiful tree is artifical? If it's turning...that is my guess. I wish I could find one that full. It looks so real!
I had one of those ugly red with white fringe tree skirts, but my in-laws had a pretty one. So after having our tree up for a while...I remembered I had it in a box on the closet shelf and brought it down. The red and white one is now gone..LOL

Yes, the tree is artificial. My family isn't very crazy about it but it holds a lot more of my ornaments than a real one and doesn't leave the mess. Also I can put it up a lot earlier without worrying about it drying out. We bought it right after we moved in here from K-mart. I think that we got a pretty good deal on it. It does have some places that the branches don't hang quite right and it looks like it has holes in between the branches but I just don't worry about it. It is really nice and full!

Yippee for K-mart. That's where we got ours too years ago. It's been working out fine. Except, ours doesn't turn I'm envious. That would be too darn cool!!!!!!
You are so talented with a needle and thread Diana. I can't sew worth poop. :p
I wasn't able to put our tree skirt on this year. Ummmm, I guess one of the fur kids pottied on it last year and I wasn't aware. Well, I put it away in a bin for the year and then took it out this year. OMG:eek: that horrible puppy potty smell.
I thought maybe i could wash it but it said do not wash OR dry clean. I thought it was ruined. I first sprayed an enzyme solution on it and tried airing it out for days on end. That didn't work. Last ditch effort before throwing it away I thought id just soak it in the washer w/ Oxy Clean then spin dry. What did I have to lose right?
Well, it turned out great. No more smell. I never did put it under the tree though. Already stuff under there. So I will use it again next year.
I was thrilled I didn't have to throw it out. I really love it. It's different fabrics in velvet/velour or whatever it's called in a quilting pattern.
Diana,
Your decorations are so beautiful!! I love the Hallmark village on the shelves, and the tree is magnificent.
You have that magic touch!
Wow Diana, how pretty!
I love the shelves with the villages and the strings of beads. I have a bunch of beads too but no energy to put them out this year.
Well done!
