I am so happy that my house is back to normal. I got all the decorations put away and all the presents put where they should or may belong.
Is anyone else a nutcase like me and have to get the decorations put away as soon as possible? I do this every year. It just makes me feel like my whole house is out of order with everything still out.

Melissa and her fiance will be leaving this morning and I am sooooo ready to get all the clutter put away and the house and our lives back to normal. It's all been fun, and I'm sure not ready for them to leave, but the clutter is about to do me in. Don't know if hubby will let me take the tree down yet, but if not, everything will be put away and cleaned up this Saturday, and the tree will stand alone until he is ready to let go which is usually New Years Day.

My husband is off work today & tomorrow, so hopefully he is doing all this stuff. I told him I would like to leave the tree up til new years day & then I'll help him take it down.

We have a couple more parties, one this weekend and another the next weekend. I'm thinking that I'm going to move it into the corner out of the way. When we put it up we put those little plastic things underneath the legs that you use to move furniture so it will move pretty easily into the corner. My husband's family is pretty big but I think that if it's in the corner it won't take up too much room. So I guess I don't know when it going to come down!!!

I think our decorations are going away tonight. I love Christmas and decorating, but when it's over I like to pack everything away quickly so that my house looks normal again.
Ladies Christmas season really starts on the 25th , I take my tree down on Jan. 6. What happened to the twelve days of Christmas ?? It seems a lot of people put their trees up early day after Thanksgiving and take it down so quickly.
Yep, the grandchildren and daughter left today and yesterday we packed everything up and put it in the attic. I don't like all the clutter!

Gina, we're not ignoring your comment. It's just that many of us did put our trees up early. Ours went up on Dec. 1, and it was a live tree. It just had to go. Even with my watering it faithfully, it was crispy critters.
Don't the 12 days of Christmas start 12 days before Christmas, kinda like a count down???

There is a name for the day you can take the tree down. Is that the 12th day?
I unplugged mine today and will put it back in the closet in it's little box soon.
I think it's lovely though that you carry out the tradition to the fullest.
