I have been emailing back and forth with someone for the past few days about Lily. He asked if he could come see her and I told him to set a time...
So tonight he called and said he was 20 minutes away (he lives 2.5 hrs away) and could he come by? I said yes and gave him directions.
About 20 mins later he called again and we got disconnected. I waited for him to call back, but he never did. So I called him and ended up getting his voice mail. He's now 1.5 hrs late and I haven't heard anything from him. I'm really worried he's had an accident or something. I left him a message, but don't know what else I can/should do.

I don't even care if he doesn't come by, but I'd sure like to know he's at least alright!

You might try calling the police and have them keep a look out for a car in the ditch or one that's been in an accident. In your small community it shouldn't be too hard to find. I sure hope that he shows up, Tink. That's scary to think that he could be out in the cold somewhere.

I've tried to contact him and all I get is his voice mail. I emailed him too and have gotten no response. From what I've been able to learn, there were no accidents in that area last night.

Not to be nasty, but it occurred to me that when he called the last time it was my son who answered the phone rather than me. That's when we got cut off before he passed the phone to me. I hope he wasn't some fruitcake hoping to find a woman at home alone. Dang I feel dirty even suggesting that.

Obviously I just don't know what to think at this point.

It is very possible that is what he was thinking. There are a lot of sickos out there.

That's a scary thought! Make sure that you have someone home with you when they come to look at the dogs. Sometimes it pays to be cautious.

Yes Tink be sure not to be alone. I did that once and I will never do it again.

Some guy called from up on the highway and the way he sounded he was with his girlfriend...so I said "sure come on to the house." He was alone. When I let him in the house he just walked right in with no hesitation so I stayed pretty much in between him and the door.

When he got ready to leave...I went outside first and then hurried back in and said good by from behind a locked door, I really don't think he notice how scared I actually was, if he did he didn't do or say anything about it.. He said he would call or come by with his girlfriend and I didn't hear anything more from him. I was so scared.

I will never be alone again to show a puppy. Please be careful.

OMG! Ladies you have to be careful when sellng your puppies, never have them come to your home especially when you are alone at home.. Just meet them somewhere in public, even if your husband's or sons are home. It is not safe to let strangers into your home...

Not to long ago I believe it was in Queens, NY a couple were selling puppies, and someone was coming to buy them. They were robbed at gunpoint and the theives took all the puppies. This story had a happy ending, no one was hurt and they got the puppies back.. So please be careful.

Tink I am begining to think this person was up to no good. Thank God your son was home to answer the phone.

I think I saw that news story on YT. Was it the one where the puppies kept running out of the bag? If so, they really gave the robbers a run for their money! I was just so happy that everything turned out well.

But yes those who sell puppies, please do be careful. There are lots of sickos out there who will use any situation to their advantage. The world just isn't a safe place unfortunately.

Tink, I'm glad he didn't come to your house! How scary!

Be safe!
