As many of you probably know, Heath Ledger died yesterday. Most people probably don't know much about him and I admit I don't either, I just know he didn't seem to fit into the "hollywood" stereotype and he had an adorable little daughter, and well, he wasn't bad looking himself! I was at work when I refreshed cnn.com and there it was and I was shocked and my heart sunk and I don't know why it upset me that much but it did. Late last night before I went to bed, I was looking at a celebrity gossip site and came across this:

It made me so angry I could barely sleep. These people even picket funerals of soldiers. All religions teach that there is a higher being, and they give outlines of how people should live a good life with peace and understanding and love, but there are just extremists who take little parts of it and blow it out of proportion. Who made these people the judge? Did they miss the whole part of the bible about loving everyone and forgiving people? What about letting God judge how a person lived their life?
I know people here have different views on things like this, so I'm not trying to start a debate. I just needed to rant here. This is so low. He was just a human, and he died and he has family that loves him and friends that love him, and these jerks will be picketing his funeral over a movie!

In my mind these people don't have the first clue about how to be Christians. They're just mean spirited and crazy.

What is up with these people? It's hard enough to deal with a death but then to have to deal with picketers too. They're suppose to be a Christian group but they don't seem much like Christians to me.

Whats wrong with these people? They dont have a clue, BUT it says more, if not everything, about who/what they are in life.

What awful, miserable people! The only good thing about them is that they are forced to hang out with each other. A bit of hell in earth.

I love the first comment.

The whole thing is very sad. Funerals are not the place to picket or make any type of political statement unless it was something that the deceased person wanted said at their funeral.

People filled with this kind of hate are sooo misled. God may hate the sin, but he certainly never hates the sinner.

Horrible! To me...it comes back to the basic. Why can't people just be nice? So simple...but so many can't do it. They have to get a jab or opinion in and then it turns bad, when all they had to do was......be nice.
