I'm SO excited!
My son and his fiance called and they just left the breeders with my new chocolate Poodle boy. They said he's very friendly, a deep chocolate with lighter highlights, and makes the same silly whining sound that Moses does when he's excited.
They said he's tall and cute... lol

I can hardly wait for them to get home! I'll be seeing them in about 2 hrs.

I'll share photos in the near future. Right now I'm just hyped! :D Silly me

2461 I love just sinking my fingers into those deep dark curls! He's round and soft and SO nice to pet!

2462 My 2 poodle boys together. We had a few growls from Moses to start with, but it didn't take long before they decided Moses is boss and now all seems fine. Moses is sitting, the new boy is standing so there really is more size difference than it looks like on this picture.

2463 Under all that deep dark chocolate are very pretty amber eyes.

I am waiting for him to tell me what his name is. He's 6 months old, very friendly and cuddly, and got his first bath already tonight. He'd been in the dairy barn when it got so unGodly cold so smelled like cow poo.

Both are adorable Tink. I love Poodles. I love the Poodle cut, not like they have on the dog shows...yuk, but I since I'm so nuts about everything, I would have to have them all trimmed up. I've never seen a choc. poodle before...very pretty color. I had a white toy poodle when Rick and I first got married.

What about Mocha for a name??? I really like human names for dogs too. I try to wait for the personality to show, but sometimes I just like a name too much to wait.

Thanks Janet
We took a vote and decided his name is

"Tinks Chocolate Chip"

Corny but he'll be called Chip. I wanted something short and sweet that was distictly different fromt he other dogs names so they know who I'm talking to.

Chip is a great name, and he's a real beauty. What a color! I never saw that color before.

Moses looks happy - so does Chip.

Congratulations!

Thanks all, I'm quickly falling in love. LOL
He has a very sweet personality to go with those exotic looks of his. I feel really blessed to have found and gotten him!

Not only have I wanted a chocolate Poodle, but I've wanted one with a liver colored nose because that means he carries chocolate and possibly red color genes to pass on to his offspring. A black nose would put him more in the black/cream category. So he really is my dream all tied up in one neat little package.

I can hardly wait to see what kind of pups he fathers.

So happy you found such a perfect guy. It must be interesting to breed for such variety of color. You don't know quite what you are going to get.

Poodles are very sweet, intelligent dogs. I grew up with toy poodles. They're just so good!

We had one litter and kept one little pup. We gave the stud one pup and my Mom's friend and her sister 2 others. I think that was the whole litter.

I delivered them because my Mom was tending to my Grandmother. She had come up to help and ended up throwing up in the bathroom.

The family dogs are all buried in a Jewish cemetery in a little spot. My Mom's friend was the keeper of the cemetery. It's not allowed, but........

You're so lucky Tink to have so many poodles around you.

I never knew that you could tell what colors are in their genes by the color of their nose! That's interesting! I hope that you get the colors that you're wanting. It will be interesting to watch and see!
