Katie got accepted today into a BA program for Criminal Justice. Her goal is to work with teens. Because she's been diagnosed an alcoholic and recently quit due to her pregnancy, she might qualify for grants that would help considerably in paying for her education!

Since she found out she's pregnant, she's finally growing up! She's tended to several things she'd left hanging that she really needed to take care of such as an issue with the IRS from last year... an unpaid medical bill... and getting started on her education.

I'm SO relieved!
She wants very much to be able to take good care of her baby, so is starting by taking care of herself.

Tink, that is wonderful news!!! I'm so proud of your daughter!!! Tell her to get as much done as she can because once the baby's here things are harder to get do. She will never regret getting an education!

Wow, that's awesome Tink. It really shows maturity that she's taking care of all these things. Seems like she'll make a great mother. :)

That's wonderful Tink. I think a lot of people 'grow up' when they have to think of someone besides themselves. I'm glad Kate is one of those. Sounds like she has a lot of ambition and it heading in the right direction.
