I got up this morning feeling fine and now I feel horrible. Won't be able to stay on the computer long. Bad chills, sweating like crazy, every joint just aches, can't find a position to stay in for very long. My chest and lungs hurt so bad. Temp is 102.8. Wish me well...please...

Oh my goodness, that's terrible. Have someone make you a cup of tea, take a couple aspirin, and get in bed. Did you get a flu shot this year?
Sending good thoughts your way!!
Poor Janet! It does soundl ike the flu. Get as much rest as you can! Maybe Rick will help you with the puppies.
Keep us posted and I hope you feel better very soon!
Big hugs!

{{{{{{Janet}}}}}} It does sound like the flu. Take good care of yourself and make sure that you drink plenty of fluids. Take some Tylenol to help with the aches and fever and get plenty of rest. I hope that it doesn't last long.

I did get a flu shot, but it must not of took care of this strain. Hubby took me to Urgent Care last night. Temp got up to 103.8. Still not doing well this morning, but temp is down to 102.5. I haven't felt this bad in a long long time. Dr. said it is definitely the flu and is rampant in surrounding states. It's also highly contagious and I can't go to work until Wednesday and that's only if the fever is gone. Sorry I can't stay on long...it's so hard to keep my head up.
Poor thing! I hope you get the rest you need and get better soon.
I'm sending you lots of hugs, a cuddly blankie, a cup of sweet tea, maybe some rice
with sugar (3 points!), and a glass of brandy - known to either cure colds or make you not care how sick you feel.
Seriously, I feel so bad for you - get better soon and rest.
Love ya,
Judy

I am just now reading this after I tried to call you. I am sorry you are so sick, I hope you get to feeling better soon. You were sick about this time last year also remember?
You gotta get better before next weekend so you can go to the dog show with me. Really I hope you feel better soon.
HUGS Janet, my prayers are with you. Just stick to your bed and rest it out... I hope you recover quickly!

Thank you all so much. I am feeling a bit better this evening. Still have a slight temperature, but not aching the way I was. I really thought this was going to keep me down good this time, but the meds seems to be pretty strong and working. I've slept most of the afternoon, but feel I could use some more sleep...so off I go.
Good for you! That must be great medicine, or you're very healthy. Whatever, I'm delighted for you that your flu is going to be short-lived.
Don't go jumping out of bed though Missy! You still need to rest.
Love,
Judy

I'm so glad you're feeling better Janet!! Brendon and I were both under the weather this week, so I know how you feel.

Janet, hoping you continue to feel much, much better!!! Lots of folks here are getting the flu and they are saying that it is a strain that they missed with the flu shot. So sad. Hubby had it, but so far I've missed this one. Had the stomach virus, but it was different than this one.

Janet, I'm glad to hear that you're feeling better. It still won't hurt to take it easy for a day or two. Some of the things going around are really hard to get rid of. Take care of yourself.

I did go ahead and run the bus route this morning. By late last night my temp was down to 99.4. Still down today. I'll continue to take the meds till they are gone, but wow....I can't believe the difference in how I feel. It left about as fast as it came on. I will tell you, this was about the worst flu I've ever had. The pain in the joints was almost unbearable. Glad it's over.

Soooo glad you got better quickly!!!!!!! Yayyyyyyy!!!!! You must just be really healthy to be able to get well like this. Don't over do and relapse, though!!!
Janet, I'm so glad to hear you're feeling so much better!
Some of those viruses can just about flatten you in no time. SO glad this one didn't stick around longer.

Janet, I'm so happy to hear that you're over the flu!!! It sounds like it hit quick and hard and was over!!! That's certainly better than the kind that hangs on for days. I haven't heard of the flu going around here but then again, I haven't hardly been anywhere lately....just church. We've got a fever going around in our family but it's not anything too bad.

I'm glad it's over too. The way the Dr. talked I would have it for 5-7 days. I couldn't believe how much better I felt by Monday morning.
If it's not one thing it's half a dozen....I went for my Bus Physical a week or so ago. There was a little blood in my urine. It isn't visable, just microscopic. I don't know what the numbers mean, but it was a '2'. They also found some white cells so they gave me an antibiotic. I went back today for a recheck, white cells are gone, but the number for blood in the urine is up to 4. Friday I have to go to a urologist (sp) in Lafayette. I hope it's nothing to worry about, but I'm already a little nervous.
My prayers are with you Janet.
Please keep on top of this... we NEED you here and healthy to keep us all in line.
HUGS

Stuff like this makes me so nervous. I don't want to search on the internet, too afraid of what I'll find. I'll just see what the Dr. says.
My prayers are with you Janet. I don't blame you for not looking on the internet. There is a lot of misinformation out there, and of course, a lot of horror stories.
Let's face it, nobody is going to want to read on someone's blog, "I had blood in my urine, took some tests, and found out it was nothing more than an infection. I'm fine now."
EXCEPT US!!!!
Love ya,
Judy

It sounds like it's a good thing that the school did a physical on you. It's probably something that's easy to take care of and, like you said, just an infection. I'll keep you in my prayers. Keep us posted on how things go with the doctor. Love ya', Janet!!!

I went to the Urineologist today and I was nervous for nothing....thank you God!!!
He said sometimes the test strips the Drs. office use will show any trace and that it's best to look at it under a microscope. So I'm clear...Yay!!!! Thank you all for the prayers.
YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Our Janet is well!!!
I'm SO glad to hear this. HUGS

Glad it was nothing to worry about Janet. I went on the internet when I was first diagnosed and will never do that again. If I had have relied on that I would have just thought there was no hope. I don't even look at statistics anymore and haven't even asked the doctor what stage I am in. I know it is at least a 3 but I don't want to know. God works with miracles--not statistics.
I'm glad you are feeling better from the flu. We can't have our Janet sick.

So relieved that you are okay!!!!! You had us worried!!!!! Doctors have a way of freaking us out sometimes for nothing, but at least they are concerned and making sure we follow up on their concerns!!
Have a wonderful weekend knowing you are heathy!!!!!!

I'm so glad to hear that there wasn't anything to worry about. I was going to call you over the weekend to see what you found out but I didn't have your number in my cell phone. I'm very relieved!!!!
What a relief Janet! I'm so happy that's over with and it's nothing. Now life can go on....
