You all know how I hate it when 4WT is down, but I sure did get alot accomplished today. I groomed all four Yorkies and then bathed them. They smell so good and look so nice. All the while I was doing laundry and got it all caught up for the week. I know if 4WT had been running I would have only gotten the doggies done...LOL. :D

All I did was clean up after dogs and play with them. It was -45 windchill when I got up this morning so the dogs were in overnight and all day. No way was I putting them out in that weather, so they ended up thinking I'd lost my mind and sneaking intot he kitchen to do their "jobs"... I cleaned up more puddles and piles today than I ever imagined, but at least I don't have any pupsicles to worry about.

There's just no chance of being productive with all 5 dogs underfoot. Every time I move they all jump up to see what I'm doing.

I imagine I set back the cause of house training the younger ones by at least a month, but didn't feel I had much choice. I took Moses and Chip out this morning and couldn't even breathe decently in that wind and cold. No way I was risking it again.

I was halfway productive today :) I got some grocery shopping done and I did the dishes and finished my laundry, but then I also watched a few hours' worth of Jon & Kate Plus Eight on TLC, and now I'm watching the Grammys.
Tink, it's been super cold here too lately! Last night my roommate and I went to a hockey game and we ran across the parking lot into her cold car when it was over. My lungs were aching and my nose felt like there were knives in it everytime I breathed in! And then at some point between last night and this morning our extension cord was unplugged from the house and my car wouldn't start until I got a boost from my brother today. I am so sick of winter!

Ladies, I just cannot imagine. It's 6:30 a.m. and it's + 61 degrees here. The high today is projected to be 73. I have no concept for a place where you have to plug in your car at night. Problem here is worrying about things melting if you leave them in the car. Don't know how you do it!!!

The coldest I can ever remember it being here was around 10 degrees. I remember that happening twice. Once about 30 years ago, and again about 18 years ago. We thought we were going to freeze. It stayed below freezing for a week one time about 20 years ago. It has snowed here about 5 times in my lifetime. Amazing the diversity in our world!!!

I didn't realize that 4WT was down yesterday but I'm glad that they did it while I was gone!!! I hate not being able to chat with all of you!!!

It was so nice at Muskogee this weekend. It was warm enough that we didn't have to wear our coats! I so enjoyed being able to soak up a little sunshine. But.....since I've gotten home it's been soooo cold. I stopped at Wal-mart on my way home and I definitely had to pull the coat out and put it on. Then last night we had a thunderstorm come through and now the roads are frozen and we had hail and sleet on top of the ice plus it's very cold outside! What a change!!!

Tink, I couldn't imagine having temps that cold! I think that the coldest I remember it getting here was in the negative teens. We had one day that the high got up to -10!!!! My husband went duck hunting that day and our lab was trained to retrieve the ducks from the water (which she absolutely loved!). He has a video of her coming out of the water and shaking off and turning white where the water froze on her fur!!! We lived in an old farm house then and some of the pipes were frozen that day! Oh, memories!!!

Tonight we are under a winter storm advisory starting at 7 this evening with the possibility of 2-4 inches of snow. Not bad, but I don't want any...LOL. If it shifts farther north, we will have more snow. I guess the most I can hope for is a two hour delay in the morning.

I want your temps Marilyn...I'm SO tired of winter.

We've finally broken through the zero degree mark and are sitting at 6 degrees.
We're in a winter storm warning for tonight with 6" of snow expected. I don't even mind as long as it's not so darn cold!

Canada has come into season and Moses is just straining himself wanting to be with her... dang hormonal males! Now is NOT the time for him to be showing that side with as angry as I am over Katies situation. When he went out to relieve himself this morning I had to physically DRAG him back inside because I'd already put the others out in their run. I blush to think of some of the names I called him... He had all 4 legs locked up and I'm dragging him by his collar back into the house. :o I hope the neighbors weren't watching.

Now that it's this warm (obviously a relative term) I took him out and let him be with the others. OMG was he happy! I simply couldn't stand to listen to him whistling through his nose and whining any more. Even with his indoor coat I think his hormones will keep him plenty warm to be out for the afternoon at least. If not at least he'll freeze with a smile on his face.

I know what you're dealing with, Tink. Amy's dog, Olie, was in heat over Christmas and Reuger was so happy to stand in the snow and wait for her to come out of the dog house. I swear that if she ever comes into heat again that I'm going to go crazy!!!!! He would come in with ice stuck all over his legs!!! Stupid dog!!!!!!! I finally had to chain him up so he didn't freeze to death following her!! He definitely would have died with a smile too!!!!!
