There's just too many to list Angie. Most music in general makes me happy. Id have to say even some of the sad songs can lift my spirits. It allows me to express and that in return makes me feel better.

Thank goodness for music. :p

I'd have to agree with the others that there's just too many to name. I enjoy a lot of different kinds of music even. I like to listen to oldies from the 70's, Christian music, and country. There are some songs that can really take me back to when I was in high school. I love to listen to Christopher Cross! The song "I can only imagine" is a favorite too!

Angie, I didn't realize that you had video attachments to your words so I went back and watched them. I loved the Josh Grobin video. He had such a wonderful voice!!!

This is Brad Paisley's Letter to Me video. Too bad that we can't go back and write a letter to ourselves when we were in high school. I like a lot of his music. I think that it's because it's clean and humorous! I love his fishing song!!!

Diana, I'm so glad you liked him. He's my all time favorite singer! Here's another of his songs...and it was written by one of my two favorite contemporary composers, James Horner. It was written for the movie Troy--bad movie, good song. :)

It doesn't fit with the "happy" theme, but I just love sharing my passion with others and I was so happy to hear that you enjoyed the Josh Groban song.

I'm going to watch the Brad Paisley video now. :)

That was great Diana!! Keep 'em coming! I'm loving this. :)

Here's a beautiful song by Groban and Celine Dion that I think you'll really enjoy. It's called The Prayer. I wish I'd heard this song before my wedding. It definitely would've been part of the ceremony...

Groban was only 17 at the time. Amazing! He was a fill-in for Andrea Bocelli who got sick last minute. Bocelli is my second favorite singer. :)

I enjoyed the Carpenter's song. I can't wait to see the next one you post. ;)

I don't have any thing available to put on here and I'm not a GREAT singer. I'm just a plain ole' singer. Nothing special. When I come to visit you one of these days I'll bring a song with me and sing for you. Anymore when I get a cold or any little thing it seems to bother my voice. But I still love music and love to sing!

After 60 years, there are so many songs that make me happy. I love being this age because I've been through so many different "eras." I have tons of good memories associated with so many types of music.

My favorite song as a kid in the back seat of my parents' car was something called
"Put Another Nickel In" by Theresa Brewer. It had a beat and this was pre rock and roll.

I think my two favorite songs though are "Summertime" and "Amazing Grace."

YES!!! I can't believe you found that. Thank you so much Janet. I never saw the visual act. That looked like Jimmy Durante playing the piano. Do you think it's possible? I read the reviews and the young man is Gower Champion. Wasn't it Marge and Gower Champion that was a wonderful dance team?

There was tremendous talent back then!

Here's "Summertime" by a few different people:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=mzNEgcqWDG4&feature=related (Janis Joplin - I saw her do this at the Filmore East - Amazing!)

I better stop - there are just too many versions of both of these songs!

Just one more - "Danny Boy," also by Elvis

Oh my gosh I LOVE that song, Janet! It always makes me smile too. It actually was playing on my mp3 player on my way home from Mexico, and I was looking out the window at the mountains and had a little heart flutter moment :)
Another song that I love is "Smile" by Nat King Cole.
"Girls Just Want To Have Fun" is what my best friend and I skated to in our last year of figure skating back home, so the song always reminds me of her. We were dressed in pyjamas and pigtails, and near the end of the song we were singing in brushes and having a pillow fight on the ice in front of 200 people :D
Other songs that make me happy are super cheesy 90's pop songs that I used to love when I was about 12-16. I think I was just so happy and un-stressed in those times, it's nice to go back to that place for a little while!
