Wanted to let you all know that our friend Lynne has the flu real bad. Her husband came down with it first on Wednesday and then Lynne on Thursday. I spoke with Lynne and it sounds like they have pretty much what I had. The achiness and temperature.
I tried to tell her to get to a Dr., but of course..no one ever listens to me...lol. When I called to check on her yesterday she said she was doing better, but she still sounded bad.
I thought if we all said a little prayer, maybe she and Keith will get over this faster.
As for the rest of you out there...it's been on the news and in the papers that this strain of flu is dangerous. There are a lot of children and elderly in the hospital because of this and it's not in the flu vaccine. If you think you may be coming down with it, then get yourself to the Dr. and on antibiotics. The sooner the better.

So sorry to hear about Lynne. Hope she gets well very quickly!!! Most of the folks we knew have recovered now. Hopefully the worst has passed around here. I think we got it a little early. I don't exactly know why, but the Texas coastal cities near Houston seem to be the first to see the flu each season.
Now a lot of folks are battling sinus infections and alergies. Central Texas has lots of cedar trees, and when the fronts come in, they carry cedar and lots of people here are affected by it for some reason.
Later, it will be mesquite and huesache (pronounced wesatch) pollen.
It is a bad flu. I even caught it and I have an immune system like iron!
I will send out prayers for Lynne and her husband. I hope it goes away fast!
Marilyn,
We're having allergies here too. The weather is so crazy I'm not surprised.

I talked with Lynne just a little while ago and she still sounds horrible. I'm still trying to convince her to get to the Dr.
Janet I hope that Lynne takes your advice. My daughter came home for the weekend from school with the flu, I put her on antibodics and she feels better today, left for school. Now I hope the rest of us don't catch it .. < keeping fingers crossed >

Sorry to be talking about you Lynne...LOL
She went to work yesterday. She sounded better, still weak, but I wanted her to go to the Dr. and she didn't. She did promise that if it comes back on her she'd go.
