View Full Version : My Honey-Do list

I did write up a list of chores Greg needed to accomplish for me and gave it to him when he got home. LOL

I have to brag on the man a bit...
1. I now have water again and in order to thaw the lines, he spent several hours out in the cold digging up water lines in frozen ground. He put new heat tapes on, wrapped it all in insulation and reburied it.

2. I now have a new belt on my vacuum so finally got the floors looking presentable again! :D

3. He repaired the opening where the cats forced their way under the house so they won't be doing that any more. I SO won't miss those nightly cat fights right under the house.

4. He bought cable and fittings to repair the cable for the Dish to the bedroom TV but it got dark before he was able to finish this project. So hopefully in the morning he'll be able to get that done for me before he leaves.

Gotta love a man who takes his Honey-Do list seriously. lol

Janet, my first marriage was SUCH a disaster that I was VERY picky the second time around. Even after I knew what a good man Greg is it still took him 3 years and 3 proposals to get a "YES" out of me. I was NOT going back into something like I'd been through for anyone. For the most part I've been very blessed to have married Greg. He's not perfect, but he accepts that I'm not either, so we compliment each other well most of the time. So yes, you're right. I am lucky and I do appreciate it. :)

Tink, I'm so happy for you. You have a really good man.

I didn't learn after my first divorce. Went right out and made the same mistake! So....divorce number 2.

I'm not doing that again. I hope I find a good man like you did.

My husband is great with almost everything EXCEPT the honey-do-list. He has a habit of saying "I'll do that for you, honey. don't worry about it" and I end up doing it because he doesn't. He really is a great guy and he tells me I need to remind him instead of doing it myself, but i don't want to sound like the "nagging wife". I sometimes wonder if I make him feel bad when I do things he said he would do. I'm glad you don't have that problem Tink.

It's really the same way here Traci. He says he'll do it, but it's always on his time, when I need it done 'yesterday.' I end up doing it myself too.

Tink, you are sooo fortunate. Sounds like a really good man!!! With his occupation, he has lots of windshield time to ponder life. He's probably got things pretty well figured out, and knows what's important.

My guy has a good heart and good intentions. He gets things done on his time like others have said, but he surprises me lots of times, too and does things without me even asking, so guess it balances out nicely.

You're lucky - I practically have to hold one of Jim's bikes hostage to get him to not be focused on them and do something around the house.

He's not into motorcyles, they are just regular bicycles - it's is passion in life. He has 1 bike that he calls "Precious" - he's so obsessed with this bike that when we go camping, it stays in the tent with us.

This is how I first learned about the nickname: We had just come back from a camping trip and it was absolutely pouring out. We pulled up to our house and as he stopped the car he said "I haven't to get precious in the house and get her dry" - I thought to myself "How sweet, he doesn't want me to get wet" - until I realized that he wasn't coming around to open the door for me, he was on top of the car - getting "Precious" off of the bike rack.

That is to funny ! this is my husband's first Harley Davidson, he wanted a motorcycle for years. has it all chromed out, which i got most of the chrome when we were single, he talks to the bike when he is cleaning it, forget about a pet name for me, but his Harley he talks to it all the time... oh he probably has names for me somedays, but i don't think i want to know what they are:D :D
