LOL you're right, Thelma :o

My dream is to one day open my own restaurant, or preferably, diner employed by family and friends. I love cooking, and baking it is a recent passion of mine I discovered. I do it at least once a day... I gather as many recipes as I can & try them out. I've only had one dud so far, and that was courtesy Rachel Ray and her broiled garlic Parmesan plum tomatoes.

One of my important goals is to be the most present (mentally, physically) person to my family as possible. It goes by so fast, I hope I am the type of person who can enjoy it in the moment, instead of letting little things distract me and take from that. I hope to put many of the things about relationships I've learned through observation and sharing in others lives and mistakes, as well as my own to good use.
Though I know, there are no hand books and you have to wing it as you go along and only grow better in time.

I am proud of myself for waiting as long as I have in waiting to get married and start a family. (though my fiance' Brad, is to be congratulated and praised on this as well, because it takes two) I am proud that I know when to admit I've messed up, swallow my pride and move on. I am proud of being open minded enough to grow.

My favorite things in life have to be laughter. The peace and comfort that comes with sharing a silent moment with the person who knows you best in world. Appreciating the beauty, speed and finality of time and how your life is forever changed as it constantly sweeps, touching over you and everything in your life. Animals and day dreaming lol nothing like getting lost in your own head filled with thought.

I look forward to everything, the good the bad and learning as much as I can. Without life experiences, we wouldn't be who we are today. It is hard enough trying to get it all to soak in and stay with you.

My favorite person has to be Brad, I grew up with him and he is the only person I have known this amount of time outside of family that I still have a regular relationship with. (The closest one!)

That's me at 25 lol February 29th- 4:03 pm ;)

Hmmmmm..........This is going to take a while...........

What are my dreams? One of my dreams is to take a wonderful vacation to a really nice tropical place. I love the beach and swimming. Also, I have a dream of getting my home really organized..........NOT HAPPENING!!!!! But I can dream!!!

What are my goals? I would love to lose weight so I can have more energy to keep up with my housework and my grandchildren! Also, I have a goal of reading my Bible more (it's not working but it's still a goal!!!)

What are some accomplishments that I'm proud of? My family!!!! I have a wonderful family, healthy, and full of life and love, in church and serving the Lord. I'm proud of the fact that I've never had problems with my children (no drinking and no drugs--just attitude) and that the ones who are married have wonderful spouses and families! I have a husband who even though I get irritated with him I know that he loves me dearly (still after 33 years!!) and I love him too. I love all my family and always enjoy having them around. They are definitely what I am most proud of!!!!

My favorite things in life? I love the friends that I've made here on 4WT! We've grown to be such a close group and I care for each of them!!! Another favorite thing......don't laugh........is e-Bay!!!! I love to shop on there and almost always have a package on it's way!!! I collect antique children's dishes and cabinets and it's soooo much fun!! Another favorite is my little yorkie, Reuger. He is such a sweetie and is so good at keeping me company!!!

What do I look forward to?.......hmmmm............I would say retirement but I know that my husband probably won't ever retire. We'll have to pull him off of the tractor kicking and screaming and tie him in a chair to get him to retire, even then he'll still be telling us how to do things!!!........I look forward to Heaven and seeing Jesus and all of my other family. I have grandmothers that I miss so much............I'm looking forward to taking another 4-wheeling vacation in the mountains this summer, especially if my son and his family gets to go!!!

Who is my favorite person?......My husband.......he takes such good care of me and spoils me terribly (notice that I got a new laptop and printer). He gives me lots of attention and shows me how much he loves me all the time. Occassionally we do have our problems but we always work things out. He definitely has a hard job because (sorry, girls, but this is true!) I am a really difficult person at times to get along with (it's called menopause!!!! and probably any other hormonal disorder!!!!) He's always been a Knight-in-Shining-Armour to me!!!!!! How could he not be my favorite person?

This is a good idea for a thread.

What are my dreams? I dream of being able to do all of the things that I always thought I would. I guess just in a different order than I had planned. I want to eventually get my masters degree and move away from here. I want to buy a townhouse in old city Philadelphia like I always thought I would. That would probably require winning the lottery, but I am allowed to dream I guess. It would be great to afford to take vacations a few times a year too.

What are my goals? For now, get my associates degree so I can get a decent job. I'm focusing on one thing at a time, so I don't want to stress myself out. I hope to get a job in the area of nursing that I enjoy most, so I can be the most productive and good at my job as possible.

What are some accomplishments I'm proud of? My daughter for sure. She's only three, but she is just such a smart, funny, and beautiful little girl. I can't take the credit for all of that, but she is half my DNA, lol. I'm proud that I went from dropping out of high school and having nothing to look forward to, to being the type of person that pretty much has to be motivated 24/7.

Favorite things in life? My family is very important to me. I love to laugh and joke, and I can always count on them for that. And one thing that I would be so lost without is my satellite radio. Don't laugh, I really love that thing!

What do I look forward to? December 2010 when I graduate, and May 2009 when my Mom graduates, lol. I look forward to possibly getting married one day and expanding on my family a little bit more. Buying my own house and starting my own life will be the best.

Who is my favorite person? My daughter, but my mom and sister are tied for second place. My mom, sister, and I went through a lot of stuff together, and we have come out stronger because of it. My momma is a huge inspiration to me on a daily basis.

My dream is to someday be retired and have the opportunity to do all the things that I never had time to do. I would like to have my home organized from top to bottom. Have time to enjoy any future grandchildren, and have time to help others who need a hand.

My goal is to be a more effective teacher of God's Word. I need to read my Bible more and I would like to learn Spanish.

Accomplishments - Successfully raising, with my husbands help and support, our two daughters. They are truly amazing. Graduating from college and being successful at work are accomplishments, but my daughters are by far the greatest.

Favorite things in life.... my family & friend and traveling. I thoroughly enjoy travel & want to see as much of the world as possible.

Look forward to...seeing our daughters married to good men and spending time with family and friends.

My favorite person is my wonderful husband of 34 years. I love spending time with him.

I only have a couple dreams I think...one is to take this weight off....I'm on my way now that I've joined WeightWatchers..22.8 lbs are gone!

Another dream is to be able to afford what I want...I don't want for much, but get so tired of having to save up all the time.

My last dream would be to see the world at peace...especially the U.S.

Goals...wow.. again...to weigh 145 again. I know that still sounds like a lot, but I look really good at that weight.

My accomplishments have been getting any job I've ever applied for, keeping a nice home, and my best accomplishment would be my son. He's growing up to be a fine young man who admits at 17 to loving God. I'm so proud.

My favorite things in life are of course my son first and foremost, my Yorkies, going out to eat, shopping/haning out with friends, being on the computer with my wonderful friends here at 4WT. They are truly the best friends anyone could ever ask for and I pray that someday I can meet them in person.

My favorite person would have to be my son...he is so much fun to be with and just so funny and smart.

Hi Guys! Pope, it's so great to get to chat with you again on a forum! *hugs* Great thread by the way! :)

My dreams? Oh man, I dream way too much! Lol. There is so much in life that I want to accomplish and push to try. I want a real house. A place my kids can grow up in and bring their kids to when we retire. I have dreams for my kids to do well in life and find someone that makes them as happy as my husband has made me. I dream that my family can one day have the financial freedom to frequently travel all over the world and learn more about it. Something kind of silly would be to work for Disney someday. To get to truly enjoy what you do for a living, ya know? I think Disney would be that job for me :)

Goals are kind of along the same thing as my dreams. You can't really have goals without dreaming them out first!

Accomplishments? My 2 kids, they truly are my greatest achievement. I don't know what I would do without them!

My favorite thing in life? Just life. Just to live and take it all in. Go places you've never gone, try things you've never tried :)

I look forward to seeing my kids grow. I look forward to retiring on land someday, hopefully with a barnyard of critters, lol. I look forward to growing old with my husband.

The favorite person is hard for me, because 'favorite' takes on so many meanings to me. It's like that close friend you go to when you have a problem. Or the friend you go to for a good time. I think relationships are like that in general. I have my favorites online, great girls that I have gotten to know throughout the years. The type of friendship that you would seach out a forum to get to reconnect with them, lol! My favorite kids because they're mine and I'm so proud of them. My husband because he's my soulmate, and my parents and grandparents because of all they have done for me. It would be impossible to narrow that down to one 'favorite'

5:30 Tam? Ick. I had to get up at 6am the other morning because of my dental appointment and I was like a zombie for a few hours, lol. Course, having insomnia doesn't help me when it comes to mornings :p

WileyBlaze
02-29-2008, 09:30 PM
LOL, Gwen I usually go to bed at 9. Sometimes I say up past 10 like a Friday night..

Oh Ya, not sleeping is tough. You have to sleep in! Didn't the new bed help? I sure hoped that solved your problem.

Gwen I use to have insomnia also. They (doctors) told me to take the clock out of the room, if you watch tv to fall asleep put on the sleep timer, take the pets out of the room and take the mate out of the room until I can establish a sleep pattern.

Do you drink caffeine? When is your last meal in the evening? Do you exercise and what time? I was told to do it in the morning other wise your metabolism starts and you are ready to go.

Gwen, if I have 8 oz of caffeine at 6 AM I will not be able to sleep until 4 AM. I'm so sensitive to it.

Dream...to go to Alaska sometime, or just to be able to spend a few weeks driving across the US. To be able to have the TIME to do it, AND the money.

Goal-to pay off this house!!! I think I have about 12 or 13 years to go.

Accomplishment-being happily married for 22 years. That might sound strange to most of you, but when I see how many of my friends and family are divorced, been married 2-3 times or always complain about their husbands, I know how lucky I really am. And it's not all luck-some of it is work! But mostly, I think it was picking the right person from the get go, and actually meaning the vowels we said.

Favorite things-no doubt about it, my animals. My 2 dogs and my cats. Can't even imagine life without them.

What I look forward to-being able to retire. Although I've been very fortunate in life, I'm not one of those people who has a job I really love. It's not that I dread going to work, but I don't enjoy it, either. I'd like to be financially secure, and then find a part time job that I really enjoy when money (hopefully) isn't so important.

My favorite person-my husband!!!!

Dream ~ to visit Ireland and really get in touch with my Irish heritage. We want to spent atleast a month there for our 10th annicersary so we have six years left to get it all together.

Goals~ to have my children turn into responsible, happy and health adults, to make sure my family knows how much they mean to me and to own my own home.

Accomplishment~ other than my kids and wonderful husband? I really haven't accomplished anything I want to yet.

Favorite things~ my kids' laugh, my mother's smile, my brothers' and sisters' hugs, a game I play on the computer and of course 4WT!

What I look forward to~ being out of debt, living in a home I own, nieces and nephews and grandchildren (kids to spoil and send home)

My favorite person~hmmm... just one is hard. My husband for being the devoted man he is a sticking with a job that makes him crazy to provide for our family, my mother for being the strong influence she has always been, my sister ,Angie,
for always being so talented and beautiful, my sister, Crissy ,for being so caring and loving, my Brother ,Randy, for being so determined and never giving up, my brother, Bobby, for being so bright and caring (even though he would never admit to it), My youngest daughter, sydney, for for outgoing personality and friendliness with everyone, My oldest daughter, Cheyenne, for being a loyal friend to her friends, My youngest son, Sebastian, for being so tender hearted and forgiving, and my oldest son, Damon, for being a great big brother to the baby and being so talented at his drawing.

my dreams are to either open a children's museum or gallery. or to open a bakery. i love baking and love seeing people happy while they eat my deserts. i would also love to do something that has to do with dogs. i would love to have a bakery where people could sit with their doggies and have snacks together...but that really isn't a go because of health laws.

pope we should open a place together! :D

my goal would be to start seriously saving up money to buy a really small house by next summer. or to win the crazy nice million dollar house that they have in a contest at my work.

i know it isn't the biggest achievement but i am really proud of myself for getting as far as i am in school. i really have never been into school, never liked it and even though i might like what i was studying i could never make myself get that drive that i really needed. i have actually had a few teachers ask me if i had a learning disability like ADHD. i am now now in sight of seeing the end of university and i'm pretty proud of myself for making myself just do it.

favorite thing: cuddling with lottie (my puppy) and mike (my bf), cooking and baking, cook shows, the feeling right after you go swimming when it has been a long time (you know when you feel super weightless and the feeling just seems so unnatural, i love that), i love sounds like the ticking of keyboards, purring kitties, crunch of snow, all kinds of other noises, i also love watching people eat and just watching how they enjoy their food.

i can't really pick a favorite person, i love everyone. i really love hanging out with mike. really close with my family. i am thrilled that my sister and my nephew live with us cause there is so much about him that i would miss if he didn't live with us. i also just love lottie to pieces and she would be the thing i miss the most whenever i go away anywhere.
