I haven't been feeling the best for a few days. Mostly coughing. I didn't think that the people at church would appreciate it if I came in and coughed all over them so I stayed home. Besides coughing I think that I have a low grade fever but it's hard to tell when my temperature is normally below 97.6*. Are you running a fever when it's 98.6? Anyway it feels like a fever. Probably a touch of what Jaci had the other day except I have the coughing.
I am sooo enjoying my laptop!!! I've got it on the coffee table and am all curled up with the keyboard!! Great combonation!!! Just one problem...........I can't see what I[ve typed! I'm going to have to go and find my bird-watching binoculars to read the screen!!! I'm going to look like a site when my family comes home!!! Keyboard on my lap, wireless mouse in one hand and my binoculars in the other hand!!!

Diana, you are too funny!!!!!!!! :sidesplit: :sidesplit: :sidesplit:
You'll have to put the laptop on a TV tray closer to the couch!!! :coffee_n_pc:
I'm sorry you're not feeling well! Being sick is the worst! Have you ever tried cold ease? But you suck on them like a cough drop and they have zinc in them (among other things) that help lessen your cold. It doesn't stop symptoms, but it helps your cold not last as long. I swear by that stuff! Lol
I was always told that for adults, it's not really considered a fever until it's over 100. Pearl might know though, she's a nurse :)

Oops, didn't mean to ignore the fact that you aren't feeling well. I was a bit overcome by the vision of you with the binoculars, keyboard and mouse with the laptop on the coffee table.
Hope you feel much better very, very soon. I got hubby some of the Zicam Gel Swabs when he was sick a few weeks ago, and it really seemed to help him get better quickly. It's probably the same principle as the Cold Ease. Zicam comes in different forms, but I read that the gel swabs are the most effective.
Get well soon!!! :getwell:

perhaps it's time for those "little" glasses? :D
Marilyn, I've never heard of those! Do you just swab them in your mouth or something? That would be nice, because the one thing I don't like about cold ease is that it gives me cotton mouth after I have one of those things, lol.

It's definitely time to do something about my eyes but it's a long story about why I haven't done anything.
I'm so sick and tired of the coughing. The cough has been really deep and hard. I'm going to have sore muscles with this one. Then I remembered that Vicks on the feet is suppose to help with a cough. I know that for you new people I sound pretty crazy but someone posted about it on here a while back. So far I think that it's working but it's only been a few minutes. I'll keep you posted.

I'm sorry you're not feeling well. :nursing: These nasty colds and that darn flu going around. I hope you feel better really soon..:getwell:

It's working!!! I've quit coughing except for one once in a while. It's a definite improvement!!!! I'm going to remember this one!!! My husband's coughing a little bit too. Do you think that he'll believe me when I tell what I did? He already knows that I'm crazy!!!!
Oh, Honey...........!!!!!

LOL, no you swab inside your nose.
One of my friends tried the Vicks on the bottom her feet and she says it really worked for her.

YAY!!!! I'm glad it's working, but I CAN'T believe it!! I wish I had known about the Vicks a long time ago. It really is working? How long have you had it on? I thought you were suppose to put it on while you were sleeping?

I was coughing so bad yesterday that when I finally remembered it I went directly and put it on. I put on a pretty good layer too. I coughed a little bit but soon had stopped almost completely and here it is the next day and I'm still not coughing. I haven't reapplied it either.
My husband's sick today and coughing. I'll see if he'll try it. It would definitely be great for little kids!

BTW--I did end up getting a little table and setting my laptop closer to where I was sitting. Thanks, Marilyn!!
Poor Diana! You have a sickie:( I'm glad you're feeling better today and I hope that dh gets better soon..
If it's hard to read the screen, you can play around with View on the Toolbar and increase the text size. It doesn't work on everything, but it helps (as do those drug store eyeglasses).
I remember your Vicks post. Well, I was up at my daughter's and my SIL walked into the bedroom and told us that he was going to put Vicks on his feet since he had a cold and he had heard that it helped. Jessie and I had been talking about it a little while before because I emailed her about it. We looked at each other, and said "Where did you say you heard that, Steve?" He tried to get away with it, but he caved fast and admitted that he had read the email!
The nerve! Trying to steal your idea!

Actually, Judy, I wasn't the one who first posted about it. I think that it might have been Sheryl so it wasn't my idea that he took.

You did know that if you hit the control button and move your scroll thing on your mouse it will make things bigger on the monitor didn't you? If I scoot back in my chair...sometimes I have to do that to see too...LOL
Diana I am glad that you are feeling much better. Yes it was Sheryl who mentioned the vicks on the feet. I am starting to get sick myself I feel a nasal drip into my chest..OH NOOOOOO I am suppose to have my implants done on Thurs. I don't know what to do? I really hate to sit there if I am sick... Do you think they would work on me if I am sick.. '
I am going out later and buying the vicks and will apply it tonight.. thanks for the reminder... Diana btw you need to buy reading glasses I use them all the time, now I cannot read without them.

It's a long story about my eyes. I wear hard contacts and am having trouble with dry eyes. My eyes have changed since I'm not wearing my contacts so my glasses aren't the right strength. I working on it, just not too quickly. I don't know if I'll ever be able to go back to contacts. :(

I didn't know about that. Wow, it works!!! Thank you for telling us this. It will work great at work when I'm trying to see details of drawings. Won't have to click the magnifying glass at the top so much!!

I'll try but we have so many older folks that I really don't want to expose them. I'm still not well, better but not well.
My husband's running a fever again for the third day and Jaci came home from school yesterday complaining of a bad headache. Jaci came down with this on Friday, Feb. 22, and she still isn't back to her old self. I called the doctor's office and they said that this flu hangs on and hangs on. I also have one of my granddaughter's here with me today. It's hitting about everyone in our area.

I have that - it's a nuisance! I've been on Restasis for a few years now and it helps a lot.
I had lasix and it made it really bad, so I searched for a cure.
