I have to take the babies in tomorrow for their second set of shots. They did so well with the first ones...not even a whimper. Keep your fingers crossed for me that they do as well as they did the first time.:)

YOU don't give your own shots?
Oh wow I cringe to think of the vet bills I'd have if I didn't. LOL

Good luck with them! I hope it goes smoothly.

No, I know they are healthy and fit, but I still like the Vet to look them over in case I miss anything. Plus...I love visiting with everyone there...the other Vets, receptionist, vet techs...they are like family.

Your little ones must be getting so big now, are they,
Standard size, TeaPots, or Teacups?
Just wondering, I love Yorkies!!

Nicole, honey...I'm sorry, but this is not a dog or Yorkie forum. We just share our babies and their babies here. We don't want to get into anything too controversial.

They will be 9 weeks old tomorrow and weigh just over 2 lbs.

Aww, I hate taking mine for shots. It always breaks my heart, but I definitely spoil them before and after to make up for it! :D

When I have to give shots to a litter I make sure to have at least 2 hepers and we do it assembly line style. I mix and give the shots, I have one person bring me pups and another take them back to Momma. I ended up giving all 25 doses I bought last fall by the time I had all the pups sold and only one fussed at all. It's a whole lot easier than it sounds and you can do it at home rather than hauling a litter of a dozen pups to the vet. lol

Sounds as though your pups are very well socialized - I'm sure they grow up with great temperments because of it.

Thank you Dobie. I think they are doing great all the way around.

I'm Yorkie3 on YorkieTalk if you'd like to check out any of my posts there. I don't post a lot...I love this site way too much, but I do post some.

I just share my pictures here and my fears concerning the doggies.

Nicole, if you go to YorkieTalk and check the threads for discussions of sizes and terms describing sizes, you will understand the reply you received. Please don't feel criticized!! People get all wrapped up and very emotional about the proper terms for the sizes of Yorkies. It's crazy, and you may have known this and were asking "tongue in cheek", but it's hard to tell in one dimensional type on a screen.

We are so glad you are here and welcome all comments and questions you may have!!!! Thank you for being a part of our forum!!!!!!!! and sharing your life with us!!!

Janet, hope all goes well at the vet's today!!!! :)

Hi Kat....just got back a little while ago. They did just fine and got an A+ on everything. They didn't even whimper this time either.

Deciding who is going to get the pups must be such a hard decision to make! I remember when we got Pip, the breeder had us go back 3 times before we got the final decision on which pup we were going to get.

I'm pretty picky about who gets mine too. As far as I'm concerned it's a lifelong committment.

I'm with you on that Janet. I try to be sure the dog is going to a stable environment and have a clause in my contract that if they should EVER have to rehome the dog I get it back so that mine don't end up in shelters, or bouncing from one family to another. This way if the dog has a problem I can have the chance to work on it before trying to put it in with another family that might have to give up on it for a similar reason.

As I read the first post, I thought ohh, it must be getting close to time to go to a forever home. That is going to be sad.

Thanks Diana. Now if I can just find them some wonderful loving homes.
