And it pays good!!! hubby and I decided to deliver the morning paper!! We get $1,000-$1,500 during the Winter Texan months which are about 6-8 months!! And After that it goes to about 350-450 a month!! And I get to do it before work and be done in time to go to work!! And I get the weekends free after I deliver!!! YIPEEE!! I'm soooooooooo excited!! Can you tell... :D :D

lol... I always played with that thought... but since I work in the day it seems better.. I can always catch up on my sleep during the weekend... snuggle with my Gizmo..lol....

I think delivering the paper is a great idea. I would prefer an old beater car so I wouldn't rack up miles on my personal vehicle, but also you wouldn't have to put up with wacko co-workers, and an added bonus would be alone time to put your thoughts in order...

If it's a walking route, think of the added bonus of exercise. If it's a driving route, invest in a low gas mileage vehicle, so it doesn't add wear and tear on your personal one. I think it's a great idea!!!!

OR, you could ride a bike! Exercise AND you can go faster than if you walked the route. :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:

lol.. no its a driving route.... hubby and I are going to use his work truck which is a 4 cyl.. my truck is a V-8 so heck no...lol

A friend of mine did two paper routes in the mornings. Doing two she made more than she would working 8 to 5 in most clerical jobs, and she had her days free to do things with her children. She had to get up very, very early though.
