... for my Toby. He is one of my Yorkies and I have to bring him in to the Vet in just a couple of moments on an emergency basis. I don't know what it wrong with him, but he is crying and I know he is in pain and needs more help than I can provide.
Please say a prayer that it isn't anything major .... please. I am so scared right now ....:hands:  and I believe with all my heart in the power of prayers.

Oh Janie, I said a prayer as soon as I read this. Please let us know as soon as you get back. Sending more prayers to you and Toby! :hands:
Poor little guy, maybe one of the Brady Bunch played to rough with him, I hope it's nothing to serious.

Thank you Kat & Janet...
I rushed Toby to the hospital this afternoon. He is in a great deal of pain and could hardly hold his head up when we arrived. They took xrays, but did not see a blockage and are doing the routine tests as we speak. They admitted him and will begin an infusion pump and will also keep him medicated for pain. Hopefully we will know something more later this evening.
I am so frightened right now and I just want him free from the terrible pain he is experiencing. I can't stand it when one of my babies is hurting....

Okay, what is an infusion pump? Do you/they know what caused the pain? What was he doing right before the pain? Oh I wish they would hurry and make him better...I have so many questions!!!

I'll be saying prayers for Toby too. I sure hope the doctor can figure out what's causing his pain. Thanks for letting us know.

I'm sending a prayer in Toby's direction. It can be terrifying when you know there's something really wrong with your dog, especially if the vet doesn't know what's causing the problem. I hope the vets are able to diagnose the problem soon and get him on the road to recovery. Hang in there.

I was just on the Yorkie site and Janie posted this earlier today, I'm sure she'd want everyone to know the latest. She's probably busy with Toby, I'm sure she'll check in with us later.

Thank you everyone....
I just received a call from the vet and he said that I can bring Toby home and try and see how he does in his own environment. His bowels and bladder seem to be working fine and he is also showing no signs of pain, but he is still refusing to eat. That might be due to the IV he has had, or because he is nervous staying at the hospital. They did tell me that he seems to be very scared, but I am not certain that he isn't still shaking due to pain. I guess time will tell....
We are bringing him home this afternoon ......

I hope I didn't break any rules by posting this.
