Ok, Everyone who's interested in the meet-up!!!! Tink and Diane have chatted and made a decision!! Tink's going to meet her friend on May 30th so we're going to have our meet-up on May 31 and June 1!!! That's on a Saturday and Sunday. Now everyone who is planning on coming can plan on those days. We'll get information on the motel and location a little later!
Here's the hotel information and location link:
http://www.schaumburgsuitehotel.com/
I'm going to make my reservations as soon as I know how many of us there are going to be so that we can hopefully get a good deal,
considering that this is a 4WT Convention.3139

It looks really nice....but I don't know. If I can afford to get there, I may not be able to afford to stay there...LOL. Soon as you find out the rates, please let me know.
Just so you all don't think I'm a tight arse. I only bring home $287 every two weeks. I know it's not much, but the insurance is great. Haven't had to pay a dime of Rick's back surgery.
The School Corp. just informed us they are looking at different insur. programs, because it's causing too much of a burden on the school corp. Two of those have us paying over $200 every two weeks. Clearly, I won't be bringing home much at all if they go with either of those two plans. I'll be working for insurance basically.
Property taxes will be due May 10 if they aren't screwed up again and then house insurance in June. Rick isn't making near as much as he should doing body work, but people are keeping the money instead of fixing their vehicles.
Hoping the rebate checks come...we need them.
Hoping to sell the 3 remaining puppies...if you know of someone please send them my way. I've lowered the price to $800.
I didn't mean to go on about my finances, but I just didn't want anyone thinking I just didn't want to come. I am definitely going to try...I want to meet you all soooo bad!!!
I really hope everyone of you can come! I doubt this will happen very often, so the more the merrier this time!

I PM'd Sheryl (rivermom). Didn't want to her to miss out on the opportunity to get together.
I saw where they had 4 tornadoes in Arkansas...I hope she's okay.
Janet,
I'll write you a check. Don't cash it - it'll bounce higher than the sky, but it's the thought that counts!

You are so sweet...I shouldn't have posted my financial business on here...I've got a lot of rich friends....LOLOLOL
I have the money (in my private stash) my friends...it's just whether I can handle the guilt of using it for me.

Sounds like a lot of fun. I hope you all get to go. Meeting the girls you've been talking to for so long should be wonderful. Janet, I hope you sell all your pups soon!
I know that Arkansas got that bad weather and so did we. We have a huge tree that is on the ground inside the fenced in area for our big dog. It must have scared the heck out of him! Later on today he was sleeping up in the limbs. He's not very aggressive. He could have jumped right over the fence to freedom. We have quite a few other large trees down but that was the closest to our house. It bent the gutter by the roof. I, of course, slept through the whole thing. I took a benadryl and turned on the noise machine. I think next time I should probably stay awake. I might live longer!!
Ladies, sounds like you will be having a ball. If you ever in the Northeast part of the country look me up. lol and Judy too.....I hope you all have a wonderful time, in which I am sure that you will...

I'm sure glad you're safe!!! I do the same thing though, I never get too worked up about storms. I just go ahead and go to sleep. Hubby worries about them for the both of us and I figure he'll wake me up if it gets too bad. When I'm here alone...I just go to sleep like usual and miss the storms.
I guess the only good thing about having a tree fall in your yard is if you have a fireplace or woodstove. Hope you can use it somehow. Your poor dog...I bet it did scare him...poor things. Glad he's alright too.

I posted in this thread a couple of days ago, and my post isn't here. Oh, well, just wanted to say that I won't be able to make it due to the wedding coming and so much going on. Hope you all have a wonderful time, and hope several of you get to be there. I checked and the air fair from here to Chicago isn't too bad, so if you do this again, I hope to be able to be there.
Let us know how it goes. Those who attend the first meetup can be charter members. ;) You can have patches or T-shirts printed or something.

I am bringing my granddaughter down for the week prior to that, so she can go to our company picnic that day. (Mandatory for managers) Its always a lot of fun for the kids. They give away great prizes for the kids, we usually have big blow up things for the kids to play on, spin art and temp tattoos. Aria looks forward to it every year.
Are you sure you can't?

I think you should all come up to New Hampshire - we can sit in the hot tub, watch the stars and listen to the river.
Ohh, and sorry Kat, no skinny dipping in the hot tub.
No skinny dipping?
Well at MY age I think it's more like a chunky dunk. LOL

I have a friend that lives in Warwick, R.I. He's a great guy, he was Pete's Sgt. in Vietnam.
He's been asking me to visit he and his wife this summer, maybe I will.
Now I'm confused, did I miss something? Your Avatar says Rhode Island and you're talking about skinny dipping in New Hampshire, what's up?

I live in Rhode Island (about 20 minutes from Warwick), but we have a house in New Hampshire that we stay at most weekends. If you come to RI this summer, we have to go out to dinner one night!!

Hi Janet,
Turns out that the winds were 70 miles an hour here. That's pretty high winds. I think I'm going to have to leave this house for a few hours. My husband and our friend are in the crawl space under the house trying to shore up this saggy house. It is not a nice job and the walls creak and pop and I am thinking of all the horrifying things that could be going on. The Yorkies bedroom door wouldn't close yesterday and still doesn't today. I worry about the windows breaking. We replaced everyone ourselves 2 years ago when we moved here and I don't want to spend money on them and I definitely don't want to put them back in if they break. My husband is 66 and his friend is 68 and just had bypass surgery about 5 months ago. It's not a fun job! I hope they finish by Fri.

That sounds like a lot of hard work. I hope they can get it done soon for you too. That would scare me to death to have the windows break.
