Is it just me....but at night when we're driving (of course when I'm in the passenger seat) I like to look in people's homes. I check out what's going on or their decor...boy do I need a hobby or what. :D

I do the exact same thing. I don't think we're peepers, we're just plain nosey....LMAO!!!!! Even on the bus route, when I pick the kids up and their curtains are open, I like to look at their decor, especially if it's really nice house.:)

Are we bad??????

I love checking out the landscaping too!!!!!! I wish I could find out the names of some of the plants I see growing in their yards. I just don't have a nack for landscaping. I know what I like when looking at it, but just don't know how to do it myself.

i've tried to do my own landscaping but like a ding-dong i planted all these plants close to my porch and now you can't see my house -it looks like a jungle is overtaking my house! i would think oh what a cute little plant and not do my research and find out that cute little plant grows six foot high!!! they look really good though which is what is keeping me from digging them up...maybe i can beg my hubby next spring to dig them up and relocate them in my yard-i have almost two acres so i have plenty of room. i just don't feel like being hip deep in mud-that is the only thing holding me back-i'm a wimpy-wimp too!!!:p :D

That would be kind of hard. I usually don't have my camera with me all the time and people would be wondering why I'm taking a picture of their house....LOL Nowadays, I'd probably scare them to death!! I don't mind getting dirty or muddy, I clean up pretty good..LOL, but I'm just so darn lazy any more. Maybe once I get some of this weight off that will help. Let's hope so!:)

We don't have many neighbors out my way, but I do check the houses out everytime I go by. Silly really, it's not like I don't already know what's there, LOL.

But when I go into town I do check out all the houses and stuff. I don't think it's rude. It's either thoughts of admiration or boye! they need to mow their yard, etc. LOL:D

My favorite is passing farm houses w/ horses. Not only do I check out their homes, landscaping, and colors, but their horses and any other living thing they might have. :p

That is so like me..LOL Our neighbors really aren't close, maybe 1/4 mile or probably a little farther. We have an acre in the country and those neighbors are the closest. The others are at least 1/2 mile or more....thank God!! :D

I'm always checking out all the landscaping of every house we go by. I like the farmhouses best too. We built ours back in '74 and it's a ranch style. I would really like to have a nice big farmhouse and furnish it accordingly. The only thing is...and don't laugh...I'd be afraid if it had a ghost or something.

You know I just started enjoying being by myself at home about 14 years ago without being afraid (the UFO thing) I would never stay alone if it was haunted!!

Oh i always look into other peoples houses, most of the time i wonder what type of person lives behind those doors.
Some places look so fabulous and i admire them, and others can look so trashy, makes me wonder how people can let themselves go like that.

I look, too. My view is that what you can see from the street, they are not trying to hide. There is a house on the golf course where I occasionally play with huge picture windows showing a good bit of the first floor of their home. There is no way that I would ever want anyone to get that kind of view of my home, but they must want people to look and admire or why the huge windows? Their view is a golf green, and all that light must fade their furniture.

Not too many homes here have large windows because we are trying to keep the AC in and our electric bills down.:)

I don't have really large windows, just what they call a pictue window, but when I'm here alone the drapes or whatever are pulled at night. No one could see in anyway unless they were closer to the window. I just don't like the idea that they could if they wanted to. During the day, every thing is open so the light can shine on in.
