View Full Version : Fun plans
Tomorrow Katie and I are going to pick up my oldest dd, her oldest dd, and my Mom and do the 100 mile garage sale. It's kinda fun when we can go as 4 generations to something we all enjoy. Cross your fingers that it doesn't rain!

I miss garage sales. i haven't been to one in years. I told mom that when she feels up to it and I get a check with good commission that we are going to spend a morning going to garage sales. I hope you have a great time and the rain stays away.

That sounds like fun!!! I stopped at a garage sale this morning. I really wanted to go to several, but we had a Mother/Daughter Banquet so there wasn't time for all of them. Bummer! Next week is city wide garage sales, but I have company coming. I have hope that something will work out so I can go though.
I hope that you have a lot of fun, Tink!! And find lots of good bargains!!!

Tink !! What fun bargains did you find today....you either are having a great time or had a great time and too tired to post!!..LOL
We left home at 9 because before that it was pouring and 36 degrees with 30 mph wind gusts. YUCK
I didn't get home till almost 9 pm. We went in the town my oldest dd lives in, and the next town from hers. My legs and feet are TIRED plus I drove, so drove 1.5 hrs to get there, then all over both towns and back home again.
I bought myself one summer blouse and 2 books. lol
I got dh a DVD, 4 books, and a 14" tv for his truck.
I picked up a pair of jeans for Joel with the tags still on them.
I got several cute sleepers and onesies and animated lamps that look like Pooh and Tigger for the upcoming baby and picked up a few clothes for my 2 granddaughters.
I gave Katie cash and said "Happy early Birthday" (a week away) so she got to buy maternity clothes, and some cute Pooh items for the babies room.
We went to Subway for lunch and Taco Bell for supper.
So I'm beat, burned off nearly $40 worth of gas, but had a nice day with the girls.
I got home to find I'd received another deposit on a puppy, (that makes 6 so far) so at least I made more than I spent today. lol
Tink considering the bad weather you made out pretty good. The important thing is that you all spent time together.. How nice is that.. I love garage sales, they have them by me everyweek throughout the county. I work most of the times on the weekends. I try to go when I am off...

Tink, I'm glad you had a great day and especially that you were able to get some stuff for the new baby. I bet that was such an exciting thing to do with Katie! Congrats on a successful day!

You made out like a bandit Tink...good for you. I didn't get to go to any garage sales. I forgot that I didn't bath and groom the doggies last weekend so I had to this weekend. Guess I could have done it today. Oh well. I'm planning to go to as many as I can this summer. Our Farmers Market started up again so I'm looking forward to getting up on Saturday mornings and head in there. They not only have fresh produce grown right here, but other nic nac type things.
Our Farmers Market is held on Friday from 4pm-8. Sadly they don't usually have much there. I'd love if they did, but it seems as the season progresses it's less and less.
You did good Tink. Katie must have had a nice day too, buying baby stuff.
She said she did Judy. She spent her birthday cash on a pair of maternity jeans, 3 maternity tops, and lot of baby items. Shannon, Joels fiancee had gone out with her and Katie's mutual friend Stacy, and they each bought her maternity tops too, so she went from having almost nothing that fits to having 5 new tops just this weekend. Added to the 3 she got the weekend before, she should be in pretty good shape now. She does still need to find pants, but those are always a tougher project for her.
Katie's only gained 4 lbs, but her bust and belly are large! lol
4 pounds is a good pregnancy weight gain as long as she's eating healthy. It will be easier for her to lose it.
That tummy you showed a while ago is the baby all cuddled up in Mommy.

I sure hope it's nice this weekend to maybe hit a few garage sales. I would really like to get out and see other people besides school kids.

I lost weight until i hit 5 and 1/2 months. Then i only gained a total of 23 lbs with my first pregnancy. The good thing is he was very healthy and i lost to my prepregnancy weight in just a few weeks. Too bad it wasn't the same story for the last two. I really thing c-sections make it harder to lose the weight.
