What is the cheesiest present you have ever gotten from your man? What is the best present you've gotten from him?

My hubby bought me a friggin' car buffer kit for Christmas one year-with wax and chamois cloths, rain-x, car wash, and tire cleaner. I didn't speak to him for two weeks after that!!!

The next year he bought me a pair of diamond studs-that was my favorite!!!:D :D :D i think he learned his lesson....

WOW! I will come off sounding horrible here, but I preach honesty so here goes:

I wanted a new sweeper so bad for Christmas one year (long time ago). I like it when my house looks nice and a sweeper is a must have!! Mine was just a cheapy and it finally sucked it's last piece of dirt. Christmas morning I was so ready to open a sweeper, but I didn't see a box that I thought large enough. So anyway to cut this story short, I received a diamond necklace with matching stud earrings. I was soooooo disappointed. We don't go anywhere fancy for me to wear diamonds....I NEEDED A SWEEPER. So a few days later I asked him if he minded if I returned them and bought a new sweeper. He was trying to do the right thing, he didn't think I would want something to clean the house. I told him "granted, I wouldn't want a box of dust cloths," but I really wanted a sweeper. Anyway I did get the sweeper.

My best received gift from him was my very own tool box. Every year I get a new tool, (if I say which one I'm wanting) for Christmas. No more running out to the garage for this or that....if it's not in my tool box....I don't need it. After a few years I did ask for a bigger tool box and got it. Best gift ever!!!

Boy, my posts sometimes just seem to go on and on don't they.....Sorry!:o

All my presents have been good from hubby. I really have no complaints in that department.

The best present I can recall ( i have such a horrible memory ) was a diamond tennis bracelet w/ a black dress that he picked out all by himself. Oh and the dress fit perfect too. He topped it off with tickets to a play here in town.

Other great presents were a new truck, a new car, reservations for weekends away, jammies that are pretty, and kitchen gadgets. ( I can NEVER get enough kitchen gadgets )

The most special gifts are his cards. I swear, that man takes FOREVER to pick out a card but when you receive it in hand and read the words, your heart just melts. He puts his heart and soul into cards. :p

Up till a few years ago, he used to "forget" mothers day, so come sunday morning, i used to hear him speed off to the gas station to buy a plant  plants and flowers you buy at the gas stations here, just show less quality, you can see it's not a florest piece of art, the plants he used to give looked hidious, but i always just thanked him with a smile LOL

For Xmas he makes me go with him to pick out what i want, most times it's Swarovski, and he knows. but most of the time it's a different theme for the year and he wants to make sure i like it LOL

Most of the time sweetie, I'm not joking, but if I couldn't look at it with laughter I'd be "completely" miserable. Life is too short to dwell and be bitter when laughing and being crazy is so much more fun!!!!

He does have a good sense of humor, so that does really help!! :)

You know, that's the difference between now and when I got married. We took our vows seriously. Maybe in the future things will be much better..but how would I know if I left. He as rhuematoid arthritis but right now it's in remission, so sickness and in health, you know the words....it all adds up to committment. Maybe we'll have a lovely old age together...:)

My first birthday as his wife and he got me a 20 gauge shotgun. It was a lovely gift. He even taught me how to use it. So if he makes me mad I know how to use it. LOL
Other than that the best present he has given me are bird feeders. I could sit and watch the birds fly in and out around the feeders all day. It really relaxes me.:)

The only thing that really stands out for the best is good old cold hard cash($2000) it was supposed to be for a boob job, but I didn't go through w/ it ( come to think of it that was a gift that was really for him:rolleyes: ) That was the last time it was that good. The worst was a banana hanger, yes, a freekin banana hanger!!

The best present my husband ever gave me was my yorkie Nikko. It was an engagement present. I was going on and on about how I wanted a yorkie and he went and bought me my little boy. It doesn't get any better than that!!

The absolute worse present I have ever received from hubby was a basket of silk flower arrangements in a brown wicker basket (flowers were yellow) for Mother's Day many years ago! They looked cheap and "last minute"! Needless to say, he's never done that again!!!

The best present ever was my new wedding band he gave me almost 9 years ago. I had been talking about an eternity band as we were past our 10th anniversary, and how I would really like to have one. I NEVER talk about jewelry, just not a big jewelry person, so when I mentioned it, he told me to go find one I liked! I don't know if he thought I wouldn't (cause he knows I don't shop for jewelry) or what but I went!! Local jeweler is a friend of ours and he knows I like "different", not what everyone else has! He had just gotten back from a show in Dallas and brought back 3 rings - 1 with diamonds and rubies, the other with diamonds and emeralds, and the other had diamonds and sapphires (my birthstone). It has rows of channel set diamonds on the outside of the band and in the center, it alternates between diamonds and sapphires. Well, I fell in love! No one else in town was going to have that exact same ring - he only brought back one of each and when sold, that was it, no more! I didn't think I'd get it because of the price but Christmas Day, he handed me this heavy package. I couldn't imagine what on earth it could be!! Well - it was the ring!! He had wrapped it in a box with a 12 volt battery to throw me off! I've had it for almost 9 years now and love it still:)

I love this thread...takes me waayyyy back. Our first year of marriage, on Valentine's Day, my husband proudly came home with a FERTILIZER SPREADER!! He was so proud of himself, cause I had said a couple weeks ago that we needed one. I very nicely said, yes we did need one, but that I really didn't want one as a present...that it was like soap, shampoo and necessities...you don't want them as gifts!!:D He did see the light after that, I have since received diamond rings, diamond earring and the best one a Corvette. He now is very thoughtful, I get flowers for no reason all the time. Ya just gotta take the time to teach 'em!!;)

I gotta agree!!! Yorkies are THE best gifts :D

For Valentine 2005, my husband took me to go see a litter of yorkies, and told asked me to pick one, so we got Chelsey :D

For our first wedding anniversary may 2005 we gave each other our Chanel :D It sure doesnt get any better than that :D
