My son and his wife told me on Saturday that a little boy, about 7 years old, was staying with his grandfather while his parents took a trip somewhere. The grandfather was working in the garden while the little boy was riding a 4-wheeler around. When the grandfather didn't see him he went to check on him and he had had wrecked, broke his neck, and died. The parents were called and just told to come back home not knowing why. My DIL said that the mother would have found out about her little boy on Mother's Day. Isn't that so sad?

My son and his wife have had the little boy over to play with my grandson and they're very upset about it. Please remember this family in prayer and the grandfather as well. Their names are Bradley and Annette. The grandfather's name is Dwight. They're a Mennonite family. Thanks so much.

How sad! That poor family. I just can't imagine that kind of pain. I will keep them in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry for this family. Your life can be torn apart in a second. This poor Mom will always have these memories on Mother's day.

That is such a tragedy. I hope that the parents are able to find support in each other during this time.

My cousin lost her 4 year old to cancer several years ago - unfortunately, her marriage did not survive the loss.
