My DIL and 2 g-daughters came in yesterday, so we have big weekend plans. I go back to the podiatrist today to find out what he's going to do with my broken foot. Tonight, we're sitting the g-girls so DIL can shop and hang with her best friend. Tomorrow, Abby (5yo), hubby and I are going to the Houston Zoo, Science Museum, to eat at the Aquarium Restaurant, and hopefully see an Imax movie (like Kungfu Panda). Hubby says we can't do it all in one day, but Abby and I move pretty fast. I'm excited, but already tired from being on puppy watch all week.

What are y'all doing?

Sounds like you have a fun filled weekend. Good luck with your foot...

I am going to the movies to see Sex and the city and then to dinner with about 5 of my girlfriends tomorrow night.

Sunday we are going to Atlantic City to see the Duprees with my husband and two other couples. Going to play the slots and hope to win big!! lol and go for dinner...

It is going to hit 90's thank God we will be by the boardwalk if I lose I can always walk around...

Sandy, don't know if you have or not, but would love to see pics of your new babies here too. I think I'm going to try and do what Angie suggested someone else do and that's just take my camera with me where ever I go and take pictures of things I've never thought of before.

It's Spoleto Festival time here in Charleston!

So, as if there's not already plenty to do living here, now there's SO much to choose from! Last night a bunch of us went to a concert downtown...it was an awesome night for a Thursday, so tonight will end up being pretty chill I think. Probably a movie date w/my boyfriend.

Tomorrow.....was the supposed-to-be wedding date of my best friend (for the past 2½ years) who made the (WISE) choice of calling off her wedding as of 2 months ago.

So, to live up to my Maid of Honor duties, I've gathered up lots of friends to do a Celebrate Rachel Day! We have the whole day planned, hour by hour....so that she'll have a fun day and be surrounded by friends who love her (and we're going to have a LOT of fun) - and we won't let her be sad!

Events will include Lunchtime Margaritas at her fav. restaurant and a bocce ball tournament on the beach (and much more!)

What a great friend you are to do all this for her. Hopefully she won't have time to be sad and just be grateful for such wonderful friends.

I have an aunt, uncle, cousin, her husband, and her son and daughter coming by tonight for a visit. They're in town to see their grandfather from their father's side of the family (I'm related through the aunt). I haven't seen my cousin in quite a while so I'm looking forward to seeing her and her family. They're going to stay at my Mom's house so I don't have to worry about cleaning everything for them.

I don't have anything going on tomorrow, but my husband said something about taking me out to eat (Our anniversary was last Sunday, June 1st, while I was in Chicago). We'll have to see how we feel. It's been a long week.

Then on Sunday our church is having an all-church picnic but we have a 70% chance of rain. We may have it at the church instead of the lake or park or where ever they were having it.

We've had some really bad storms here in Kansas and the weather report says that we may get some more tonight and next week. We've really been keeping an eye on the radar!!! It seems like any little storm is expected to become severe.

I have 24 new perennial plants to get in the ground, flower beds to weed, and my first puppy leaving me.
I also have someone coming to visit me on Sunday who I know only from the Labradoodle boards who wants to see my puppies and meet me.

Well I've already talked about what's happened so far in my weekend in another thread, so I'll talk about tomorrow on this one :)
I have to get up early and go in to work on some stuff for my boss, and it confuses the crap out of me and I'm not looking forward to it. I also need to pack up a lot of my desk because we're moving offices next week. Then I need to come home and pack clothes and drive 2 hours to another city where I'm taking a course on Monday and Tuesday. I'm worried about going now, with Layla being sick. I hope my brother will remember to give her antibiotics while I'm gone.

Thanks for the anniversary wishes. We've been married for 34 years!!! I can truly say that Glen's my best friend. We had a rough spot over a year ago but it seems to be well behind us and things are better than they've ever been. He wrote several notes and put them in my purse and in with my clothes for me to find while I was in Chicago. He really turned into a romantic a few years ago and makes me feel very loved!!!

Janet, we had some really bad weather last night. My son-in-law, Jason, and Jaci went out and storm spotted. They've taken a class to spot tornados. They didn't see anything and Jaci was disappointed. We're flooding again, but it's not as bad as last week, but it keeps the fields wet and we can't get crops planted. We're suppose to get rain again later this week.

Janet, it looks like you had bad weather come through this afternoon. Are you staying high and dry? A lot of Indiana's counties are flooding.

Yes, I'm staying dry. We had another batch of storms come through and it's suppose to rain more this week. There were some streets and homes flooded in Frankfort, but we are about 7 miles north so it didn't really get to us. Fields have lots of water too, so it's going to take awhile to dry out.

Here we wanted summer so bad and now we're getting scorching heat and storms, not exactly what I had in mind..lol
