My oldest son has been clean for 3 years. He came to visit with me yesterday and wanted to make up for some of the things that he had done to me. He told me that he had stolen $100 from my purse and wanted to pay me back. I asked him about a ring that was missing and he admitted to taking it. He wanted to take me shopping to buy another ring and I told them that the ring was not worth as much as the peace I have with him being clean.
God does work miracles. Please keep praying for him. :wavecry:

That is such great news!!! It is so hard to come out of addictions and your son is truly amazing to have come so far!! I'm sure that you're very proud of him!! How great that he's come to the part of apologizing for his past mistakes and is trying to set them right. Tell him Congratulations from me and give him a hug!

I have a brother that has fought with addictions and it appears that he's been doing better for the past year or so. It's been a hard battle.

What a wonderful accomplishment. Addictions can be so distructive in so many ways. I'm glad everything is working out now. Tell your son how proud your friends here are of him.

Donna, I'm so happy for you both!
My oldest dd is an alcoholic and has been sober over 10 yrs now, so I know what a relief it is and how proud it makes you when they're finally able to control those demons.

God bless.

You must be walking on air! What a wonderful thing. Three years is a long time and very hard work. Congratulations to both of you.

My SIL has been sober for 2 years mow, and I am so proud of him. He's a different person in many ways.

God is good.

SIL is son in law, but I get confused on most of them to and don't know what they are. I suppose SIL could be sister-in-law too. I'm not sure what dd is and there are some others too that I don't know what they mean.

DD might be Dear Dad? You are helping me catch on.
How is your weather situation? I think of you when I see the awful flooding up there.

I think DD is dear daughter but I am not sure. My kids usually have to translate for me.
