I have had so many problems with Verizon, my bill is different every month, I call and talk to 5 different people that can't understand the billing. I spend hours on the phone and get different answers. I check my bill online and it is different than the one I recieved in them mail. Our local paper has been so critical of Verizon for 4 months and there are still no improvements.
This is the best story, the bill is in my husbands name but I am the only one that calls them, they know after 2 years that I am Donna, have the account number and his ss number, so when I called last week about my bill going from $140 to $200, got transferred to 5 different people that could not help me, then one tells me that I am not authorized to access the account, and she asked me 5 times that for every friend I referred to Verizon, they would give me $100. Said to her, "Do you not understand that with all of the problems that I have had with your company that I would refer you to anyone?"
So I had a problem last month with the billing so I was told that I would get the Movie channels free for a month. Get the bill this month and they charged me $14.50, -$7.50, +7.50.
Go figure.:mad::mad::mad:

I've not heard one good thing about Verizon around here. No one wants it anymore. I hope when your contract is up you can switch to a better service.

No one seems to care anymore. It's just a job, and we are a bother if we call them. They want us to just pay the bill and shut up.
Hope you can find a better service.

donna i'm having the same problems with Verizon and comcast, been on the phone with them for hours, comcast is the worst but they credited me over 40.00 which was there fault, they tell you if you switch to digital it will be the same price as basic, that was bull! but i finally got my bill back down to 45.00 a month again.
Now with Verizon, oh,,, i'm trying to get a new contract minus my husband phone cause he has a company phone now and he never uses the other one so why should i pay an extra 45.00 a month, so my contract is not up until aug4th, and they said if i break the contract there going to charge me 175.00  i told them i'm not breaking it, i need a new phone and i just want to drop Mikes phone. oh boy what a pain in the butt. i gave up on them until aug. just dealing with my phone is a pain, Micah got a hold of it and dropped it in the dogs water bowel now it only stays charged for about 3 hours and its dead again, but still working i just have to carry a charger everywhere with me now...

Same thing happened to me, I had to pay the $175. We switched to ATT and have had no problems.
If I cancel my Verizon combo I will NOT pay the fee, and they can't make me, don't care if they turn it over to the credit bureau, I am sure anyone would disregard it with the reputation they have.
I am so sick of fighting with everyone and everything, yes, no one cares about their jobs or are not trained.

Sorry that you guys are having trouble. We don't have Verizon in our area, I don't think. We're on Alltel.

We have U S Cellular and I have not one complaint. We have three phones on a share plan and have never had any problems with our service or phones...well, except when Ricky accidently dropped it right outside his car overnight in the rain. They just gave a a phone to use until his was fixed. It couldn't be fixed so they sold us the loaner, and it was just like his, for $50.00 I think.
I really am thankful for this cell service.
I've been through that with AT&T about 6 years ago. They do it on purpose, so you'll just shut up and pay the bill.
Now, I'm not one to mess with, but they even broke me down and I paid them just so that I would never have to deal with them again. I got Cingular, which has been a pleasure to deal with. BUT, who do you think bought then out? AT&T!

We have comcast tv/phone/internet and it has been a nightmare. Our house phone was dropping calls. I called the company and after the call dropping 3 times, the woman having to keep calling me back, 2 different supervisors....they finally set up an emergency appt for the tech to come out the next day. She tells me between 11-4 and he will call me when he is on his way. She said if he calls and no one answers they will not come out, they will put down no one home. And I said to her, "what if he calls as my phone isn't working and the call doesn't come through?" She got all snotty and said "your phone will be working, it will be fine" I said "well, that's why I'm on the phone with you right now. It keeps going out, and when someone tries to call me the call doesn't go through" And she screams"OH STOP WORRYING ABOUT IT. IT WILL BE FINE" And hangs up on me.....lovely customer service, isn't it?

Call the Better Business Bureau in your state and file a complaint!!!
...Or...Look up the company headquarters and get the phone number. Tell the
operator you want to register a complaint about customer service. If they don't connect you and tell you to call customer service, keep calling until you get an operator who will connect you. I also tell them that I've had a problem with their service center for the last however many months, and that I need to speak to the person in charge of that area.
I've only had to do it a couple of times, but it works! I had an ongoing battle with
Toshiba about my laptop. After 3 months, I called their headquarters, spoke to whoever, and my laptop was repaired and sent back within the week!
I also had a problem with my prescription plan. I did the same thing, and the person I spoke to said she was going to work on getting that policy changed
because other people have the same issue.
AT&T - they don't seem to have a corporate office that you can call easily.

There have been so many complaints about Verizon, they are in the News everyday. I always ask for a Supervisor, and they all give me a different story.. BUT, I am getting calls from them to fix my account. Even an accountant could not understand the billing system.
My husband was in politics for many years and he always go to the top of the line, does not work with this sorry company.
It is frustrating! Hang in there (or pay them just to get it over with).

I always laugh at their commercials because I know that many people do not care for their service.
