:cry:Hi Ladies,
Just wanted to have a prayer request for me. AGAIN. My oldest daughter got married on July 26th. It went very well. So far things for her are going good.
I on the other hand am not. I have a prolapsed bladder. I go next Tuesday for a urodynamic test. I had one done 3 weeks ago but my gyno didn't like the results and wants me to go to a urologist on Tuesday for another one. I hate it. But it has to be done. Then on Wednesday I have to have a pelvic ultrasound done to see how my female parts look. Then I go back to my gyno and she will tell me when i have to have surgery and have my bladder reattached and my female parts removed. Last check she said September. I have a friend who is older than me that had this done back in June. She can't lift anything for 6 months. I can see my house becoming a total mess. Not that that matters. I'm just afraid this will be the end of me. My oldest brother died in 2004 after surgery. My mother died in 2006 from cancer so I can't help thinking that it's my turn. I know i shouldn't think that way. But I can't help it. It is really starting to get me down.
I am not suppose to be lifting anything right now but I have to. I'm not a person that can sit and do nothng. But i also know that if i do any lifting after the surgery it could make things worse. So if when i make it though this and I feel up to doing things on the computer you all will be so tired of listening to me it won't be funny. So if you don't mind keep me in your prayers. I will let you know when they set the date. Thank you all so much for being there for me though every thing.
You all are VERY SPECIAL PEOPLE.

Oh, Cecil, so hope everything goes well!!!! I had a complete hysterectomy in 1995, and they suspended my bladder also. All went very well, and hope that if this is what you need, that you will do as well. I was only 41 at the time though. There were no lifting restrictions that I can remember after the doctor released me 1 month after the surgery.
Keep us posted & will be thinking of you.

I knew Emily was getting married, but didn't realize it was last month. She is living here isn't she? I haven't seen her for a few weeks....usually see her at Wal Mart..lol.
When I had my hysterectomy, I couldn't lift anything over 10 lbs for about 6 weeks, but that didn't bother me. I came up with other ways to do what I had to do. Wish you lived closer and I'd help you. Gary is pretty good about helping you so hopefully you can just take it easy.

Linda, I'm sure that everything will be just fine. If you're really nervous about the surgery you can ask your doctor for something to help calm you before you go in. I can't imagine not being able to lift things for 6 months. That sounds like a really long time, maybe it won't be so long for you. The good part is that you'll be on here a lot more!!!! We can definitely handle that!!!!! You'll be in my prayers! Keep us posted on what's going on!

UPDATE:
Okay kick me when i'm down. For some odd reason my urologist put his stethscope to my neck and told me to hold my breath. I did. Now I go for ultrasound number 2 tomorrow afternoon. He thinks my cartotid artery is clogged.
just by the noise it was making when i held my breath. But he thinks my bladder is being pushed down by my uterus so he will need to get in touch with my
gyno dr and compare notes. Yepppppeeeeeeeeee for meeeeeeeeeeeeee.
Thank you for all your prayers. Please keep them coming. They are suppose to call me and let me know about my neck situation. :(

I"m mad as He--you know what. Thursday had to go to my family doctor for another pain. While I was there she told me about my ultrasound that I had
done for my Urologist. I have been calling my urologist everyday last week to check up on my sound i had done. Come to find out they never got it. But my family doctor did. Anyway. It came out ok. But I went to my family doctor because I've been having some nasty pains on my right side. Well guess what.
I had to have another ultrasound done for my gallbladder. That was last Friday
and it wasn't done till 4pm so I had to fast all day nothing to eat or drink.
I was starved when I got home. So I go back to my doctor tomorrow to find out if
it's all in my head. I'm falling apart. Will let you know what I find out when and if I find out. Thanks for asking and being so SPECIAL.........................

Ok here I go I hope I don't start crying while I type this so it wonlt make any sense. My gallbladder results came back ok. My blood test didn't. I go tomorrow
Thursday for a colonoscopy. I know he will look and tellme something major is wrong. You know when you have those feelings. I'm anemic I have been bleeding evidently for a while somewhere else. And that some where else is in my colon. My doctor said the pain in my side could be from that also. So if i don't get back with you all on this it will mean i'm either in the hospital or worse.
My scope is for 10:45am. I have not had anything to eat since last night at supper. If I do make it back home tomorrow to stay I will let you all know what is going on. I had to leave workearly to start my cleaning. THere are only 2 other girls in my office. My Boss told me before I left that she wanted to say a prayer for me so all 3 of us went into the back room. I cryed so hard. I'm sorry to go on.
I'll update if I can later.
Thanks for caring.
cecil, my prayers are with you.
Often when things look really bad they turn around again just as quickly, so please have faith that all the prayers being sent out for you will bring you strength, healing, and much better news very soon.
Please keep us posted. And if you need to vent, feel free... we all take turns here and Yep, it's YOUR turn.
HUGS

Me again. Ihope I make sense. I had my colonoscopy this morning. I"m still a little groggy from the sedative they gave me. But that was nice. He found polys and took biopsies. Put me on a diet........................Like I need to diet at 105 pounds. Anyway. No fresh fruit or veggies. What a crock. I can eat the canned stuff but nothing fresh. Last night while I was doing my thing in the bath room to
get cleaned out. I passed out and fell on the floor. It woke up my hubby.
I woke up on the floor it's really weird cause I remember what I was doing and then everything went black and I remember waking up on the floor. I now have a nice bruise on my head and my left shoulder. I finally got back to bed with my hubby's help and ended up getting the shakes. After that Gary wouldn't let me go to the bathroom alone. He's so sweet. (most of the time) I think it scared him
just as much as it did me. I have to go for an x-ray of my gallbladder where they
inject dye into you to see if they can tell anything else is goin on there.
Thank you Ladies for all of your prayers. I couldn't have done it without you.
:ghug:Heres my hug for you all.
Thanks again
Dear Linda,
You poor dear! I just found this, and am sending you prayers for a quick diagnosis and healthy days asap.
I'm so sorry you are going through this.

Linda, I'm so glad Gary is so attentive and eager to help you. I know you told me when you were having the xrays, but will you tell me again please, and when are you suppose to get the blood test results?....I told you I just can't keep things in this old brain anymore.

Ok More Updates on the Update.
Wednesday I went to see my female surgeon about my hysto. I am suppose to go back to her on the 12th to talk about my female surgery and set a date.
Yesterday I had a HIDA Scan done. That was interesting. My family doctor called me last night to tell me that I need Gall Bladder Surgery. My gall bladder function is at 11%. I had been having these pains on my right side under my ribs. Now I know why. So I go see another surgeon for that on the 9th. Then will schudule
surgery for that maybe Wednesday of next week. Will have to wait and see what he says. This age thing really sucks............But I want to get my gall bladder taken care of because my mom died of cancer of the gallbladder and liver.
I just hope its not cancer. To much of that going around. So thats the news for now. Thanks to all of you for your prayers. I will update more later as I find out.

Hey girlfriend!!! Gallbladder surgery isn't so bad...they poked 3 holes in me and it was out...LOL. The only negative I've found is some foods will go right through me....hate that. Wasn't long to recover either. I hope it goes as well for you as it did for me....no problems.
My hysterectomy was a little different though, I was in the hospital for 4 days and then bedrest for 2 weeks. They also took a tumor the size of a small watermellon out, but I did what the Drs. said and I was fine.
That's a big thing Linda...don't do anything you're not really suppose to after surgery. That way it 'won't come back on you.'
As always...wishing you the best.

I'm ditto to Janet. Gallbladder was a breeze - day surgery on Friday, back to work on Tuesday and food digestion is weird. Hysterectomy was the pitts, but mine was 21 years ago (bikini cut), so it might be easier now.
Relax and get it over with. My thoughts are with you. Keep updating!
