Max and I finally moved into our new home last night! It is more than everything I had hoped for. I cannot believe that this is my home.

We had no electricity or phone - just a fluke, but it was time to move in no matter what.

The inside is so beautiful and comfortable. I just am thrilled with it. It was left in very clean condition, but I'm waiting for a cleaning service to just wipe out the kitchen, the bathrooms, and the insides of all the closets and cabinets. Then I can unpack.

I don't think I'll unpack everything for a while. I don't want to waste the warm
summer weather in the house, I don't need a lot of things like photographs and books I've read, etc. I also have way too much furniture - lucky Jessie! She's waiting to get her hands on some of it. I have a lot of antiques and it's a very
contemporary house. I like antiques sprinkled around, but not as many as I have.

Steve is going to do the floors and paint and whatever else needs doing, but we're going to wait until I'm here for a while. I like to get a feeling for a place before I decorate.

The kids came over yesterday and loved the pool! It is something! Jessie and I met some neighbors, and I met 3 on my own. Lovely people. I'm going to have to behave myself here. It's as community and I really don't feel like having any trouble here.

When I drive through the area, I am amazed that I really
live here. I'm on top of the mountains, surrounded by trees and deer, cows, horses, other mountains, etc. The views take my breath away. I will bring my camera if I ever find it again. It's somewhere in a box.

Jessie and Steve have been so wonderful. Steve went with me to the closing because we didn't understand how the funds were being distributed. Jessie would have been really mad at him if he didn't go also! He's a great support person. Can you believe how we have changed our relationship around? God is good. Jessie has been a wonderful daughter, and I'm able to help her out when she needs me. We also have a great time together.

The kids are such a blessing. Mackenzie is coming to sleep over tonight. I'm really tired, but she is such a pleasure. Anyway, she cried when I asked if we could wait until tomorrow. What else could I do? We'll watch TV and eat junk food.

Max seems fine here. He was very happy at Jessie's playing with her two small dogs. I miss Gracie a lot. I expected to miss her, so it's no surprise. Whenever I drive around and am in awe of the beauty of this area, part of me is so sad because I lost her here. I hope I don't connect the two forever.

I have a deposit down on Annie Leigh. I'm not posting her picture yet.

I'm going to order a memorial cross for Gracie's grave. She'd would have loved it here!

I really appreciate your posts and pm's. I needed you all, and you really helped me.

I still have to catch up on your stuff. I just got back online in my own house and my own computer today. I hope you're all okay. Prayers to all of you, no matter what.

With a lot of love,

Judy

Glad you got into your new home and have such a good relationship with your family. I hope you max and the new addition will be very happy. There will always be an empty spot but time will lesson the pain.

Judy, I'm so glad to see you're back with us! I've missed you too!
How great that your new home was the perfect choice for you. I know that in time you will personalize it and settle in comfortably... but think you're wise to hold off till you gt a feel for the house and how you use each area.

HUGS and welcome back!
