It looks like this storm is coming our way. Please pray for us, we have had so much rain already.

Donna, I'll try to check the weather your way and see what is happening. You just make sure you stay safe and plan ahead now that you know what is going on. I have no idea where Riverview is, my mother has a place in Bradenton.

We are about 30 miles north.

It missed us and we have not had a drop of rain, we surely didn't need any.
Guess I posted on another thread yesterday, under Prayers.
Thanks to you all.

Here comes Gustav! Hubby said he might need to go get his mother because she lives alone and closer to the coast. I don't want her back in my house, but don't want to hurt hubby. So, it will more than a storm blowing my this house.

I'm sorry that you're having MIL problems, Sandy. I'll be praying that she'll be a good girl while she's staying with you. I have problems with my MIL too. She came and stayed with us for a few days during an ice storm and she had lost electiricty and we hadn't. I had a house full of people and my MIL. I found out that there were worse things than being without electricity!!!!!!!!! :sidesplit:

Ditto, Diana! MIL is losing her short-term memory very fast and seems to be confusing recent things with past things. My worst thing with her lately is that she demands so much from my hubby, since FIL died. She pushed him around and it seems now she needs somebody else to push, so it's hubby and me. She actually called me to order flowers (from her) for MY Mother's funeral and has never even offered condolences. She never calls her other DIL to do anything. I really don't want her in my house. Hubby understands and is extra nice to me when she's here.

....... Hubby understands and is extra nice to me when she's here.

It's because of guilt!!! :sidesplit: My husband is the same way when I have to deal with his mother, which isn't very often.

I've had MIL, sister +6 kiddos from Louisiana, and today my 9yo g-daughter - I'm almost ready to go back to work. No, I've really enjoyed having my sis here. They evacuated here and aren't going home until their power is back on.

Well hopefully Sandy it won't be much longer. So glad the damage wasn't any worse than what it was. Glad to hear your family is safe.

I'm glad to hear that everyone is safe too. You're a good sister, DIL, aunt, and grandmother to let everyone come and stay with you! It probably helped having the others there so your MIL couldn't make too many demands.
