WOW! I'd have to run my air conditioner to cook Thanksgiving dinner, if it were this early here!!

Have a great time and eat some turkey for me!

I love the Thanksgiving meal. Lindsey, I hope you have a great weekend and enjoy all the good food.
You're right Gayle, here in Indiana it's been in the 80's, too darn hot, I thought it was suppose to be fall.

Happy Thanksgiving, Lindsey!!!!

Personally I don't mind the warmer weather because we still have crops that are finishing up and a frost would still hurt them. Actually all of this stuff with the stock market has shot the grain markets all to pieces anyway. :(

You know, all this stuff with the stock market has shot most EVERYTHING all to heck  except gas prices! :D

I'm back :) I think I'm about 10 lbs heavier too!
It was a good weekend overall, except a bit of worry over my dad. He had been out moose hunting for over a week near my grandma's, and we were expecting him out on Saturday. There were 3 of them left out there.. my dad, my uncle, and my dad's friend. Well, he didn't show up Saturday so we assumed Sunday morning, since they can't hunt on Sunday anyway. We waited and waited... nothing all day. There is no cell service out where they hunt so calling was pointless. It got dark and I was even more worried... my mom called my other grandma to see if she had heard anything, and she didn't hear anything either. Finally at about 8:30 at night he showed up! Missed the turkey dinner and everything, but he was there at least. I guess they got another moose on Saturday and were busy with that. So all in all they got 3 moose total and everyone's freezers will be well-stocked for the winter!
On Saturday, my weird aunt dragged me off to some random person's 80th birthday tea party and it was soooo awkward. It was impossible to get out of too. She didn't want to go alone, and she noticed me in the grocery store buying bread with my grandma ad she just cornered me... she went straight to my mom who was waiting in the truck, and told her I wanted to go to this birthday party and asked if I was allowed to go with her. I felt really uncomfortable lol, and she even made ME take pictures of the "birthday girl" and all these other people... it was just a weird situation haha. Everyone made fun of me all weekend for it!
Anyways, I'm home and well fed now and that's all that matters :D

I'm sorry you had to endure a birthday party with your aunt - why is it that every family has one odd member

Hope you have a great week!!!

Sounds like you had a great weekend with your family. I'm glad that everything was alright with your Dad. Just think......you'll have a great story to tell every time your aunt's name comes up!!!! We have some wierd people in our family too. I'd say that most of them are in my husband's family but I'm afraid that my side has it's share too!!

I had a great uncle (not blood related but married to a great aunt) that always wore fake plastic glasses with the eyes that wink when you moved them. Every year he'd pull them out and say that it was aunt's that ruin the picnic, not uncles. He was always looking for someone to drive him to Mexico. (He did go several times!) And his car had toggle switches and mirrors and things hanging all over it!!! I sure would have traded you this uncle for your aunt!!!!! :sidesplit: He bought my Grandma a bag of marshmallows for Christmas one year. My aunt felt sorry about the gift so she bought a package of dinner napkins to go with it!
