Remember when I used to just vent all the time? I rarely posted about anything good happening to me, and I'd just come here to let out my frustrations....
Well lately I've had nothing bad to talk about :D So I want to share my happiness!
On Friday night I had a very relaxing night at home with Layla. I had a great sleep! Then on Saturday morning, my roommate and I decided it was time to put up Christmas lights before it snows! So we pulled them out and put them up around the deck and as much of the roof as we could get from the deck... we'll have to wait for my brother's ladder to do the rest. Then I got my hair done, and you already know how happy I am about that!
Anyways, then this guy came to pick me up and we went to a party at his friend's house. It was a "free beer night" because he had made his own beer and had 4 fridges full! I had a good time, the people were all really nice! After a couple of drinks we decided to just come back to my place. We played with Layla for a bit and then just fell asleep cuddling. It's so weird, I never even really LIKED cuddling before. I would do it, but I definitely couldn't sleep with someone that close. But with him, I just WANT to be that close, all the time. We woke up this morning and he immediately called Layla back up on the bed and played with her, and she fell asleep right between us and he didn't even mind. :D
Anyways, today I took Layla to Petsmart just to get her out of the house. When we were leaving, it was SNOWING!!! :D First real snow of the year! I dropped Layla off at home and went to buy groceries. On my way I got a text from the guy, asking what I was doing for supper. I had no plans. He was like "spaghetti?" I said sure so he told me to be at his house by 6 :D I've never had a guy suggest cooking for me before.
I just feel so great! And don't worry, I'm not rebounding on this guy, he totally understands where we both stand. He just ended a 4-year relationship in September, and I just ended a year and a half relationship in October. But it turns out we've both had secret crushes on each other since we met! But I really really like him so we're taking things very slowly. I don't want to mess it up. He's not being pushy like most guys, he even went right out and said "I know you want to be single for your trip to New York, so let's just feel things out until after that"....
I can't remember the last time I was this happy. I feel more alive than I ever have.

I also think that taking it slow is a good idea. I can't believe that it's time for snow but we have a chance for flurries today too and it sure looks like it could happen. I'm not ready for the winter cold. BRRRRRRR......

Well there was a bit of freezing rain with the snow yesterday, so it took me a LONG time to drive to his house for supper last night. The roads were soooo icy! I'm definitely glad I got my winter tires put on my car a couple weeks ago!
It was a really good night. The spaghetti was delicious! We watched a movie later on the projector in his room, and then we just sat there cuddling and talking for a couple of hours. I didn't want to leave, but I did get home before midnight.
I'm not sure if I mentioned this, but we work together :o I know, maybe not the best idea. But that's why we're going to feel it out and see how it works with being together all day. So far it's been good and we've been able to keep the professional and private seperate! We don't want it to be a big deal in the office either so we're trying to keep it quiet. Anyways, when I walked in this morning he gave me a big smile and I got butterflies in my tummy. BUTTERFLIES!

It's GOOD to hear you are happy, and smiling!!!!! Taking it easy is fair on both of you.
Sit back, enjoy the compliments, laughs, and good times.

It's also nice to hear he is fond of Layla, people that like animals, like people (bonus points) for him.

Thanks so much everyone :) I'm glad you're all so happy for me!
I love the first snow of the season too... by January I'm sick of it though! I can deal with it until Christmas because of all the holiday cheer :) But in January it just gets SO cold and the snow is all gross and dirty anyway, and then I'm ready for summer again (or at least a vacation to somewhere warmer!)
And he is an awesome guy :) I just want to make sure that we're both in it for the right reasons. I want to make sure that I'm okay with myself being single and alone, before I know I'm okay with myself being in a real relationship again. But for now I am definitely enjoying it. I can't help but break out into a huge smile when he plays with Layla everytime he sees her. And in the place he just moved into, his roommate has a huge dog! Looks like a german shepherd cross. I met her for the first time last night and she LOVED me :D She was smothering me in cuddles on the couch while I waited for supper to be ready :) I just love that my life can be full of animals now :D

He sounds nice Lindsey! You have lots of fun and good feelings and see where it takes you. For right now though, I'm glad you're enjoying being treated well. You certainly deserve it. I like that he likes Layla too.
