I have decided that from now until January 2nd, I can eat freely.

I think tonight's dinner is marshmallows (already eaten) and M&M's. Excuse me - dark chocolate M&M's.

I've ate cornflake cookies on and off all day while I worked on Thursday's meal. I like your meal plan though...LOL.

Janet, are those cookies also called "Cherry Winks"?

I wish I could eat anything I want, but with the Crohn's, I can't. Alot of the time I don't even have an appetite, which sucks. I would be happy if they would invent a pill that contains all the nutrients you need for a day. Take one everyday, and you're done. No cooking, no clean-up hehe

I'm with you Judy. I was thinking I SHOULD eat very lightly today, due to the PIG-OUT tomorrow. But then, I made the stuffing for tomorrow and had 1/2 a package of sausage left over so I decided to make biscuits and sausage gravy. MMMMMMM GOOOOOOD. Homemade biscuits and sausage gravy - that was NOT eating light!!! :D

I've never heard them called that before...there is nothing similar to cherries in them. Just peanut butter, karo syrup, sugar, vanilla and cornflakes.

Gayle...that was not 'light', but I love biscuits and gravy. My son called when he got off work last night and asked if I wanted anything from McDonald's and I almost said 'a Big Mac', I love those, but I said "no thank you." I did good, but I sure won't today.

Well, Judy, if you put a pound of marshmallows in your left hand and a pound of dark chocolate M & M's in your right hand you could call it a balanced diet!!!! LOL :sidesplit: I just kill myself!!!!!! :sidesplit:

Those sound simlar to ones I make that have peanut butter, sugar, vanilla, oatmeal and cocoa.

The cherry winks are an old family recipe....it's a Christmas cookie, and they are soooooo good, but a pain to make and expensive. They have dates, nuts, cornflake crumbs, cherries...and I don't even remember what else. I love them!!

Nina,
I have Colitis and right now besides my other meds for it, I'm taking Digestive Advantage Crohn's & Colitis Therapy. It's not a drug it's called a medical food.
It has helped me so far. You can get it at Meijer or a drug store OTC.
Just thought I'd pass that along.

Well, in the spirit of eating anything we want for dinner - I think tonight I will gorge myself on the remaining pumpkin and apple pies (with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream).

I had pie for supper last night, too, pumpkin and pecan. Then topped it off a little later with a cold tamale.

Forget WW on Thanksgiving. It's a quality of life issue for us!!!

I read this yesterday, but didn't have a chance to post. I was laughing about it all night and today! I love your sense of humor Diana. You kill me too!!!

Marilyn - I love your choice of desert. Nothing like a cold tamale to round off a meal of pie and ice cream.

...as is allowing yourself to eat junk food for a while!

After looking in the mirror though, my shape is not a pretty picture. I may consider some healthy meals. (or I may not):D
