I have to go to Wakegan Illinios tomorrow to our corporate headquarters for training on our new computer system. We will be leaving at 6 for about a 2 hour drive. I will be driving my truck. We were supposed to take a co-workers car, but I didn't want to be stuck for 4 hours in the back of a cavalier so I offered my truck. I will be in a car with 3 boys. 2 of the boys I'm friends with, but the other & I are enemies. He and I have never gotten along well. He has anger issues & shovanistic tendencies. Needless to say the trip will be interesting & I'm taking some Xanax along just in case. I think driving will be the best thing for me though. Then I can focus on the road & ignore everything else, plus I'll get to pick the music & temperature.

I am not a morning person, so that 6 is gonna be murder. I plan to take a shower tonight & just get up in time tomorrow to through on some clothes, brush my teeth & head out.

Hope it all works out. If they get to loud just turn up the volume on your radio.
Be Careful........

Have fun. I like training trips. They feed you, you get to play with tech stuff and not pay attention if you don't want to, plus you get paid.

Don't let that guy mess with you.

Can't wait to read how your trip turns out. Sounds like it's going to be an interesting one.

It wasn't so bad. It was just a terribly long day. We left at 6 am & didn't get back until 6:45 pm. I drove both ways; about 6 hours. I'm actually happy I drove, then I had something to focus on. We got stuck in some chicago traffic, but not bad. The guy I don't particularly like was on his best behaviour so that went well. The training was okay. But they pretty much said we won't need to know how to use there system because we never will have to use it. Meaning once we transition to there systems our engineering department (me included) may no longer have jobs. We'll see what will happen. What will be will be, but it's probably best if I get my resume spruced up soon.

Glad the trip there and back was uneventful and you didn't have any problems.
