I don't have any suggestions, but I feel your frustration too. I'm a 34DD. I have a hard time with bras causing ugly indents that you can see through shirts. It drives me nuts. I have found a victoria secret bra that has wide & thick shoulder straps that are comfortable, but still cause the indents in shirts.
Doesn't it also drive you mad how limited the selection is for anything in the D range?? Even VS doesn't make everything in these sizes. I love the PINK line....they are so cute & look comfy.....but they only go to size C.

I have the second bra in 2 colors & I love it, it's one of the most comfy bras ever & looks great under sheer tees.
I also tried on the new Body bra & it made my boobs look amazing, but there was so much padding & wires that it dug into my ribs & was very uncomfortable to wear.
-All the bras above come in a 34DD

I've always heard that a bra is something you should really pay attention to. I just can't afford the really good bras, so mine usually come from Wal Mart. I do try to make sure they fit correctly, it's not always easy.:)
I don't know how close to Chicago you are but Opera has a bra store downtown for women with large breasts. My mom has a few of them and she feels better than she ever has. I'm thinking about traveling that way myself since I am a 34 DD and have nothing but plain, ugly bras from Victorias Secret. Good luck in finding the right bra for you. :)

You can get wonderbras at Kohls for a really good price. I have the wonder of stretch demi bra, but no padding & it works really well. Very comfortable & flattering & not expensive especially with all the sales.

Thanks for the tip!! My son and I like buying our basketall or walking shoes at Kohls (they last so much longer) so I'll have to check the bras out too. :)

A good bra is an investment every woman should make, it's not a luxury to have a good fitting bra, but rather a nessesity.
I wear a small B, but i find that a good fitting bra, makes my clothes look a lot better on me ;)

I could careless what it looks like. As long as it makes my 40DD's look small I am all for it. I HATE underwire bras but most of the time I don't have any choice. I was a full B or a padded C before I got pregnant. After I had my daughter I nursed for a good year. So not only did they get even bigger but they took a permanent vacation down south. I will never have perky ones again only the illusion.

I am a newly retired breast feeding mom so I know what your talking about with the perkin them up thing. I wear a 44 B sometimes a C. I recently fell in love with the bras from the Avenue. They have a new style that really holds you up. They are always running sales like buy one get one 1/2 off. Hope this helps.

Hey, ladies, my husband just ask what I was reading & I told him about this thread. He said he'll walk around with you and hold them up for you :D . He said you can call him Rex the WonderBra. You have to forgive him, poor thing, he's had to settle for 36B's. :p

Stacy London on "What Not to Wear" says most women are actually wearing the wrong size bra and recommends that we all get fitted at a good department store or where they sell good undergarments. I saw a bra fitting expert from Nordstroms on the Oprah Winfrey show that said women tend to wear the cup size too small and the band size too big. Also a new bra should feel tight at first because it will loosen up as it's worn, just like shoes. Bra sizes can vary according to style and brand just like jeans! And if your weight goes up or down as little as 5 pounds your bra size changes.

Hi guys do you get bendon over there? It's an NZ brand and they do a GREAT sports bra I'm a 38D and those puppies don't move in my Bendon sports bra. And I got an AWESOME pink lacy bendon bra on special (normally Bendon are a bit too expensive for me and I'm perky as anything in it!!) The underwire doesn't dig in anywhere and I can almost forget I have a bra on!
I'm definitely going to have to buy a few more sports bras. I wasn't wearing one when I ran around the agility ring with Dougal and when I reviewed the video I was surprised I didn't get a black eye LOL!

Those sound awesome! Pity we don't get Bendon here, i know it's difficult for woman with "bigger boobies" to find a perfect bra! I have to buy the padded and push up ones to make it look like something.

I find it almost impossible to find a great bra. One that's comfy, doesn't ride up, or when you bend over that spillage occurs.
But...Recently i went to Kohls and found I swear the best bras in the world. Infact, I ended up returning a few days later and buying more.
No spillage, I don't even have to adjust it all day wearing it. I swear it's the perfect bra. It's also a very pretty bra. The size I purchased was a 36D
It is called Olga Curves. It's a seamles underwire w/ what says has 4 points of comfort. 1) wide shoulder straps so no slipping off shoulders
2) improved hook/eye
3) super soft and comfy
4) no poke wire
The tag says "The most comfortable bra" and I do believe it really is. I doubt I will ever wear any other brand of bra now but these!!

I've heard that Oprah's bras are really expensive though. My aunt is a 42DD and loves the bras at Lane Bryant. They're the only bras she'll buy and a lot of times they're buy one get one half off... or even buy one get one free.
Sadly I'm always trying to find bras to "add" to what I've got. LOL...

What are GEL CHICKEN breast? hahaha, that's so funny! Can I please have some of you guys' boobs? Anyone wanting to get rid of them, I'll give them happy homes!
40DD here and I'm thinking I should probably try a bigger cup size but haven't had the nerve. LOL
I too HATE the way bras fit and feel. I'm just waiting for the day when they swing low enough that I can tuck them in my waistband and forget about 'em.

How many have actually gone in to be fitted for the right bra??? I really want to go in and be fitted. I honestly do guesswork when buying a bra. I can't tell you what size I am. I know I was a 32B before having kids...and no way do those fit me now! Permanent trips south after breast feeding 4 and a bit bigger....gosh I hate not having the proper bra!!!
We have a VS in Zanesville Ohio and I am seriously thinking of going in and spending some hardearned money for a couple proper bras!

Girl, do yourself a favour, and spend some extra cash on a good bra!
I had myself measured at a lingery party and now i don't even mind going into a lingery store to have myself measured for the right bra, i reckon, we owe it to ourselves!!

Go to VS wear a thin fitted T (you can wear it under something if you want). They can measure over your shirt & bra so you don't feel naked. Then they will give you a box of bras to try. You then tell you what you did or didn't like & they'll try to help you find the right fit. It was a hard for me, I don't like to bother people, but it was worth it.

I am not really bashful, so I wouldn't care if (assuming it would be a woman helping me) she got a show. What's the worst that would happen? She might be into women and get turned on?? LOLOLOL (sorry bad joke)

I'm not bashful either. I kept popping out of my dressing room in just the bra going I don't like the way this fits, I like this bra, but I'd like a little more pushup, etc. I'm pretty sure she was getting rather annoyed with me by the end of it, I was in there for like an hour.
