My college women's basketball team - University of Texas - beat Tennessee today. Tennessee historically, is one of the best women's programs in the country. They are the defending national champions. They are rated #7 in the country and we are rated #6, so I supposed we should win - AND WE DID!

It was so much fun - I just love beating Tennessee!!! Their coach hates to lose and I love watching her lose - especially when it is my team that creates the losing!!!

My mom, g-daughter and I all went and yelled our heads off! That's what is so great, it is a place to go and holler, scream, and jump and get out all the frustrations of the week!!! Nothing like it!

Gayle I just love your enthusiasm for sports. I got all excited a few years ago with a Colts football game, but it was just one game and I had to have someone explain the whole thing to me. Use to love Pacer basketball, but they became such losers (not just on the court) and they were an embarassment to Indiana and basketball. I'm not really into sports at all, but I do like watching our schools girls volleyball team play.

Gayle I do not share the love of sports, I can say one thing it must be fun doing it with all three generations of women in your family. That is awesome!

Yes, it is awesome! And sometimes my daughter comes along too, so then we have four generations!!!

I'm still basking in the glow of the team's victory! We are 9-0 (nine wins - 0 losses). This is the team's best start since 1987 - whoo hooo!!!

HOOK'EM HORNS!!! (that's our sports "saying" since we are the Texas Longhorns!)

Well, you should have been with me this weekend, I was treated to 5 hours of volleyball!!!!! Well, not highschool VB - it was my g-daughter's VB team - their first tournament! Most of the teams were just learing to play VB, so it was a bit painful at times.

Hey Janet, my super duper Texas women's basketball team plays at Purdue Monday Jan. 5th!!! I think that is super close to you, isn't it??? Wish I were coming to the game, but it is a bit far for me to travel to watch them play!!! LOL!!!

I'm not much into sports either (except my daughter's volleyball games) but I think that it would be fun to go to a game with you and your family!!!! I can get pretty excited at the volleyball games. I'm certainly one parent that everyone knows is there!!!!
