Just wanted to share. Saturday morning, I was on here complaining that the one morning of the week when I have time to do things and had so much to do, my hubby chose to lay on the couch with a headache and I had to be quiet not to disturb him. Well, I had given him some Advil, and after a nap, he got up and started helping me. This weekend, we were able to finish baking my 24 fruit cakes, decorate the yard, decorate the Christmas tree and most of the house. Do a fair amount of cleaning, attended three church services, cooked some really good meals. We had a really wonderful weekend together. He even went shopping with me to try to find some stakes I really wanted to use to put some lights on around the sidewalks. We live in one off those neighborhoods where we are all supposed to put the same type of white lights around all our sidewalks. Everyone else had these really nice plastic stakes that hold the lights upright. We have pieces of half inch pvc pipe that lets the bulbs flip flop every which way. (left over from our last neighborhood where everyone used white twinkle lights and pvc stakes.) We couldn't find any anywhere, so he is online right now trying to order them so we will have them next year.

This morning I dropped the yorkies off at the groomer and he made sure they got picked up for me.

Here I was feeling all sorry for myself and the whole time he was realizing it, and really kicked it in gear for me. I can't help but brag on him. Dec. 22 will be our 35th anniversary. Guess I'll keep him around a while longer.

Sometimes they are amazing. He's in pretty good standing right now!! I'd say he's priming me to get him good Christmas presents, but he's already getting a fancy new paint job for his Harley, he's in San Antonio today meeting with the painter. He has given me strict instructions to not get him anything else beyond socks, underwear and cologne. It's hard to think of anything else that he needs though right now. Last year I got him a Garmin Navigation thingy and he made me send it back.

I think I'll get him a new cover for his Bible though. The one he has is falling apart. I reattached the handle with zip ties a while back, and the tab on the zipper fell off, too.
