Just wanted to share some pictures that I took on the Riverwalk in San Antonio on December 20th. Some of the pics are kinda blurry. I'm trying to learn how to use my new camera, and some of them need to be rotated. I rotated them in Photobucket, and saved them, but they did not save rotated, so please excuse this. It's getting late and I was tired of trying to get them organized. So here they are: http://s171.photobucket.com/albums/u300/mhorst_photos/Christmas%20Lights%2008/?albumview=slideshow
It was a really beautiful, around 80 deg evening.

Nice Marilyn. You'll get the hang of your new camera in no time. The lights are pretty.
I really need to get somewhere that warm....this cold, cold windchill is getting to me...lol

Great pictures Marilyn, looks like a lovely walk. :)
Don't worry, I am in the same boat as you trying to relearn how to take pictures  I am quite nervous I will mess up the New Years pictures!

Wow, that was a gorgeous place Marilyn. I loved the reflection of the lights in the water!
Marilyn, Very pretty and you did a good job considering your not use to the new camera.

Thank you all for your kind comments. The Riverwalk is a cool place at night any time of the year, but with the Christmas lights it was really beautiful. The reflections on the water as Angie mentioned make it especially magical.
I wanted to sort through these and only post the ones that I thought were the best, but figured, hey we're friends, and everyone likes looking at pics, so I posted them all. Glad you liked them.

I figure Angie is probably thinking what a shame that a nice camera like the one I have is in the hands of such an amateur. There were a couple of the pictures that I am kinda proud of though. The composition is pretty nice even if the camera settings were not perfect. It was fun being there and trying to get a good pic. Photography is something that I've always wanted to be really good at, now at least I have a tool to work with to try to take nice pics.
This reminds me, I need to take it with me to the New Years party tonight. Probably won't get any stunning pics, but will be able to record some memories at least.

You did a good job Marilyn! Angie gave me her camera when she got her new one. She has been trying to teach me a few things. She says it will just click but I am still waiting. I really enjoy trying.

Marilyn don't worry, it doesn't matter what anyone thinks. It takes time for people to learn and just from what you've shown so far...you're getting the hang of it pretty quick! Now....can't wait for the New Year pictures.

First of all, everyone has to start somewhere and I think you're doing a GREAT job! Secondly, you would laugh if you saw some of my first pics...
I *LOVED* seeing your album and I'm looking forward to seeing more from you in the future. Keep up the good work! :)
What a magical place! I wish I were strolling there right now with my soon to be found wonderful man by my side, and Max and Annie, of course.
I think you are quite good Marilyn. Keep it up.
I've been getting a hankering lately to take pictures. I have a Canon one shot, but it will have to do for now. I keep seeing things I would like to photograph.
