View Full Version : The Art of Racing in the Rain
Hi, I'm new here...and thrilled there is a book thread!! Anyway, I received this book for Christmas...Anyone else read it yet? I'm about half-way through it (mostly because I've read some of it out-loud to my husband, who is also enjoying it)...or else I'm sure I would have finished it by now. It is an amazing book....written through the eyes of a dog...it's amazing! I'm dying to hear other's opinions of it!

I haven't read it, but I've been looking for ideas so I will check it out! :) Let us know what you think when you finish.
That sounds great. Did you see the Marley & Me movie?

Another book to add to the list. I so hope I get out of this slump and start reading again. Maybe once the puppies are in their new homes I'll have more time.
Ricky and I went to see the movie Marley and Me today. It was really good and we both laughed and cried....so did everyone in the theater. It wasn't quite as good as the book which in my opinion was wonderful!!!, but the movie was very good.

I def. want to see that and also read the book.... I know what you mean though about a "reading slump". I go for such long stretches of time not reading and then usually all it takes is one good book to get me going again....If you are a reader, and you love dogs, you will enjoy this one!

I love to read, but when I start a good book, I can't put it down. It takes over my life and I stay up way too late on work nights, ignore other things that need to be done. If I had more self control in this aspect, there would definitely be more books around the house.

That sounds like a very interesting book! I'll have to keep my eyes open for it. I loved Marley and Me and I'm looking forward to seeing the movie. The movies are never as good as the books are, in my opinion.

I'm the same way Marilyn. I even read during class when I KNOW I should be paying attention. It's like an addiction!

You're so right Diana. I loved the book and couldn't put it down till I was done with it. The movie is very good, a little faster paced, but it's still good. Take your kleenex.
