Hey has anyone been to the Big Cedar Lodge in Ridgedale, Missouri? I 'm thinking maybe Diana has been there, or near there. My hubby's sister's want us to fly up to Kansas City in a couple of weeks, and go over there for a couple of nights. I'm not sure Gary is up to it, but we'll see!
Just wondering if anyone has been there???
Also, Gary and I are thinking of taking our travel trailer up in that area in late May. If Diana (or anyone) has been in that general area (Eureka Spgs, Table Rock Lake, etc) I'd appreciate any tips/advice.
Thanks!

I hope Gary can make the trip. It's been about 40 years since I was in that part of the world.

I of course know nothing about this area....LOL. All those names though sound so western....I love it.

I found these pictures of Big Cedar Lodge - it looks really pretty - BUT I hope that I don't see those winter wonderland pictures when I go  (except that a little bitty tiny bit of snow might be fun :D)

I haven't been to Big Cedar Lodge but by checking on it I found out that it's only 10 minutes from Branson. There's a lot to do in Branson but you'll need to check on things. They used to close things down some in the winter but I don't know if they still do that or not.
I recommend the Promise. It's a play about Jesus and it's awesome!! Also, there's a new play this year called Noah's Ark. Again, it's awesome!! If you check on-line you'll be able to reserve your tickets and make sure that they're open.
There are so many things to do and people to see! There's a Titanic museum that has some actual artifacts and lot of pictures. I enjoyed that.
There's Jim Stafford, Shoji Tabuchi (I've heard that this is an excellent show but we've never been), Dixie Stampede, and so much more.
Here's a site with a few of the shows. There's even more than is listed here.

Thanks Diana! We won't have time to go into Branson this trip - but will certainly go if we go back in May. This trip we are basically flying to Kansas City, going to Beaver lake one day to see relatives, then go on to Big Cedar Lodge the next day to spend the night, then back to Kansas City. Really a very quick weekend trip. IF Gary feels well enough to go, that is.
