I started babysitting Karlie last week but I only had her for a couple of days because of New Year's. This week I've had her every day and I can tell that today I'm tired and a little more moody (Ok, maybe more than a little).

Yesterday was a hard day with her!! We went to the grocery store!!! She wasn't bad but she was very loud all the way through the store and talked to absolutely everyone. After that she was just wound up, even after she had taken a nap. It just wore me out.

After her nap she came in the office where I was on the computer and sat and talked to me. She swung her arms around for something and knocked over a glass of sweetened tea right on Glen's keyboard!!! He wasn't very happy about it (He did take it apart and cleaned it so it's working fine.).

Anyway, I keep telling myself....It's Friday......It's Friday!!!! Two days all to myself!!!

Anyone else glad that it's Friday?

I second that Diana. We are getting a nice snow storm today. Suppose to get 8 to 10 inches by tomorrow afternoon. So i'd much rather be home snowed in.

YEP, I'm glad it's Friday too!

And Diana, I can tell you that I would not do well at all keeping a two year old five days a week. In fact, I just don't know if I could do it. I have a two year old granddaughter, who is VERY attached to her mom so I only babysit occasionally, and I always go to her house where she has all her toys (and it is two-year old proof - which my house is NOT). Anyway, after only a few hours, I am pooped!!! I don't know if I could do it all day everyday. There is a reason why older women don't have babies!!!

I admire you for doing this for Karlie - I know she needs you, but I also know it is very hard on you too! Take care of yourself.

I'm so ready for snow!!! I keep checking our forecast but we don't have one flake in our forecast for a week! Of course, I don't have to get out in it and go to work in it so I can wish for it!!! I just love watching it from our windows!!

Our old house was so drafty that we had to put plastic on the windows and it made the view very cloudy. The only place to watch the snow was from the front and back doors. Here we have nice big windows and the snow is just beautiful when it falls.

I am very glad that it's Friday. Finally. It will be good to spend some time on non-work related issues.

I'm glad it's Friday also! :cheer: The bus kids have been really good since we've been back...makes me wonder if I'm driving the right one....LOL.

Ricky and I are going to the store when I get home from the route. Just need a few items, but we are expecting ice/snow...anywhere from 1-5 inches. Know it's not much...but I don't want snow and definitely not ice.

Diana....there is just no way I could babysit now. Maybe a day or two a week for someone that I loved, but not just anyone. It would wear me out so bad....I'd never want to get out of bed.

I hope you have a nice relaxing weekend and all the snow you want...lol.

Karlie isn't hard to take care of, she's just very demanding. For being only 2 1/2 she's very intelligent for her age and she continually keeps us amazed. I think that because of that I have to keep reminding myself that she's only 2 1/2. I expect more out of her than I should. Fortunately for her I've mellowed out a lot since I've had my own children so I'm a lot more patient than I used to be.

Keeping her isn't exactly what I really want to do but it will help Dae Lynn and Damon get caught up on some of their bills without having to pay a baby sitter and she does have a couple of people who can watch her if needed. Actually, when she's with me I know that she's in good hands, and that's a comfort.

At least she's a g-kid that will go home! Love em, spoil em, and send em home!

A 2 1/2 year old every day is hard Diana! You are so wonderful to take care of her
for Dae Lynn and Damon.

I'm glad it's Friday for you too.

I can't believe how big that Karlie talks!! She was eating lunch and she looked at me and said "I appreciate you!" She just amazes me at the big words that she uses. There's never a dull moment with her!!

She sounds like quite a young ladie, Diana. So good that you can do this for them. and think of the teaching opportunity!!! Hope you have a very restful weekend.
