I'm glad Friday is here. I am going to a Yorkie meetup tomorrow in Central Texas - Bryan College Station area. There are supposed to be around 15 Yorkies there, don't know how many humans :D Should be fun.
We are going to try to work on getting the materials for the gate/garden too. The weather is supposed to be great, drizzly in the morning, but nice in the afternoon.
My women's basketball team plays here on Sunday, so that will occupy some of my time on that day!
I'm hoping for an enjoyable weekend.

Going out to eat for my birthday tonight. Going to Nacogdoches tomorrow for Abigail's 6th birthday party.
We are bringing Sarah (17 months old) back with us for a week, while her Emily is in Austin, for CPS job training. I'm very excited because I've never gotten to spend much time with her. Laura will keep her during the day and I'll have her in the evening. I've already forewarned my supervisor that I'll be slipping out early ALOT next week.
We're buying a 4-wheeler from Jeff, but not sure we'll take the trailer to pull it back this trip.
I need to get on YT more and check out the next meetup - so I can meet Gayle.

It's suppose to warm up some (in the 40's) so I'm hoping to be outside a little bit. Saturday I will be working on our taxes some and Sunday afternoon is the Eagle Scout ceremony for Rick. I feel like I have butterflies in my stomach over this....LOL.
Other than that...it should be a pretty quiet weekend here.
Hey Gayle...who is suppose to be at your meet-up? Take some pics to share okay?

A yorkie meet-up sounds like fun!! We had one here in town right after I got Reuger and I got to meet several people from YT.
I have company until tomorrow. Then I'm going to crash!! It's been a long week!! I had 7 people spend the night on Wednesday night. Two cousins, one wife, and 4 teen-aged kids!!! So there were 10 of us for breakfast!!! (Glen took care of breakfast for me) Five of them only stayed for one night so it's back to just two guests again.
Last night I invited all of my family and 6 of my relatives that were still here for supper. So we had 21 for supper. Everything went great and the meal was really good! I had a lot of leftovers so I think that's what we're going to eat tonight.
I love having my family here but it is a lot of work! They're so nice to visit with and we have such a good time. Like I said, I plan on crashing over the weekend!!!!

I'm having a very slow weekend :) Tonight Scott and I are hanging out to play video games (ooooold nintendo games :D) and he leaves in the morning to go home for the weekend. My roommate is out of town until Sunday and my brother rarely stays at our house anymore so I'll have the house pretty much to myself :D I'm probably going to buy a new bikini for a hot tub party I'm going to next weekend, and that's my biggest plan so far!

It is the YorkieKingdom group, not YT - probably some of the same people, but I'm not sure!
It's at Gayla Ballew's home in Bryan, Texas, and I know that Vickie Barber will be there. I'd have to look up everyone's names to tell you who else!!! I'll try to get them down while I am there. And yes, hopefully, I'll remember to take my camera to take pix!

I will just be happy to go outside, it will be in the 70's.
My husband have had such a runny nose and cough. Going from 28 back up to 80 in a few days, back down and back up. Body can't adjust that quickly.
Have a good week-end to all of you.

Not sure what we're doing, yet. Probably housework and stuff around home. Hubby called a few minutes ago, and wants me to take off early and go eat seafood for dinner, but he won't drive the 30 miles to the restaurant I want to go to on the coast. So sad that our hometown doesn't have a decent seafood restaurant. I really don't care too much for Red Lobster. We have a couple of locally owned restaurants, but to get really first rate seafood, you have to go to Barkett's in Seadrift or Clark's in Port O'Connor, and both are quite a drive.
Hope everyone has a nice break from the week, whatever you decide to do!!

My company left a while ago and I'm just exhausted! I loved having them here but it's more cooking than I'm used to doing and, of course, more clean up too. The house is kinda' messy and I think that I'll just get to it when I get to it!!!!! After I get off of here I think that I'll go ride the 4-wheeler. It's so nice and sunny outside!

I'm going shopping tomorrow:
For a new pair of Justin lace-up ropers. I have not been able to get my bad foot in my pull-on boots, so Hubby suggested I get a pair of lace-up boots. My Project Vice President treats us to a company night at the rodeo each year (the 21st), so I'm splurging for that. I might try to find a new western shirt.
Hopefully, we'll get some live oak trees to replace the 5 we've lost to hurricanes.
And, I need to go by a feed store and get Yahtzee's little puppy girl her first shot!
Happy Weekend All!

Sandy, I remember that you decided on live oak trees, but did you think about Montery Oak trees? They are like live oak in that the new leaves push out the old leaves in March - but they are much faster growing. I planted one in my front yard and it is growing so well, I am amazed. You can't beat live oaks, for sure, but the Monterey oak sure grows a lot faster and looks very similar.

Thank you, made it with photoscape.
It is a beautiful day out and I think I'll get out. My deck is almost clear of ice and snow, so the dogs can go running around out there. I can't wait until it's warm enough to just leave the screen door open a bit so they can run in and out. I am afraid of hawks but I'm going to try it out anyway.
In a lot of places, you can see earth instead of snow, and the ponds are melting.
It may snow again, but spring is definitely on its way.
Tonight there's a gallery opening and my yoga teacher is doing something in The Commons, which is a great building in the next town over. There is an art gallery, an artisans shop, a home goods shop, and a yoga space there. They have something every Sat. from 5 to 7 in the winter months. There's also the Roxbury Arts Guild, where they have similar things going on. Tonight they are having an Irish rock band. I'd love to see it if I had a man to go with. I'm tired of going out just with "the girls."
Tomorrow I'm having my family over. Monday is my birthday, so I figured I'd invite them here. I may get Chinese food, or bagels and stuff. I'm not sure.

We didn't get to the tree place today. I decided to clean house instead and Hubby's almost through with the new/replaced garden fence.
I'll definitely check into the Montery Oak and see if I can find them around here. THANKS

Sandy, they are also sometimes called White Oaks or Mexican Oaks as well as Monterey Oaks. Someone recommended them to me when I was looking for a tree to replace the one we had to remove from the front of our house. The house faces west and I wanted a great tree like a live oak, but wanted something that grew faster than a live oak, since I needed the tree to shade the house in summer. I am so happy with the Monterey oak! So, definitely check them out!
