Our girls weren't able to come, so it's been just the two of us, but it's been a good day!!!
Happy Easter to you, too!!

We had just our family, my Mom and Step-Dad, and an extra little friend (that's a sweetheart) over. I was going to bake a ham with all the fixings but the girls wanted to keep it simple so we grilled hamburgers. It poured down rain all day long so we changed our Easter Egg hunt (which includes candy not just eggs). We divided all the candy and put it in Ziplocks with their name on it. The kids had to hunt for their bag and couldn't tell anyone if they found someone else's bag. There were just a few eggs so the kids had to find them separately.
Amy made some sugar cookies and brought some frosting that you can paint on so the kids all painted Easter cookies. They turned out really, really cute!
The kids and some of the adults did a search and find where you write clue notes and have to go from clue to clue to find something. It was a lot of fun!!
It was a fun day and so nice to just have MY family. My brother and his family had other plans. I love having them over but it's not the same as when it's just us!
I went to Jessie's. It was a nice day. The kids enjoyed it because my ex was there - he's their PopPop, and I was there. Steve was in a bad mood. His family....They have such drama and ruin every holiday for him. He's no angel around them either. They didn't come.
Jessie is a wonderful cook, and dinner was delicious. She had a headache after dinner, so went up to bed. Then Steve disappeared. I guess they figured that with 2 grandparents there, they could go off and relax! We had fun playing red light, green light, and so on. I was going to put the kids to bed without bothering them, but the little ones wouldn't lay down without Jessie.
I was glad they had a chance to relax. I was also glad to go home!
Jessie hasn't been feeling great. She is doing too much, and that brings on her symptoms. I told herthat I will be available to help her out if she needs me.
When I spoke to her today, she said she was feeling fine.
